Well now that I brought my work pieces home, well I have ... a lot. So I may sell a couple pieces. Just wanted to have them all together one last time. May list some things on Swap later. Maybe a Seigan or two also.
:)

Wahhh! I ordered a Deishi chamfered cup... and it came with a big HOLE in the bottom:

Just kidding... it's a bonsai pot. I ordered another larger, round one as well. I'm going to transplant some stuff this spring. :D

I can see it now... "We're going to need a lot of cornstarch!"

It's curious, the clay appears to be more of a terracotta. Of course, I have not seen the 'hime' style of hagi clay, so I suppose it could be that. It's certainly not as red as terracotta (more of a light orange-brown).

I think the 'wintery' look of the cups would make them great for a pine or certainly any deciduous type of tree during the winter. But I will probably be sticking with jade maybe a Christmas cactus -- not very traditional bonsai, but something that I have and I know that I can keep alive...

You could grow bamboo in it. It is quite easy to grow.

19:59 into steep #90, Hagi SO 14 SnowDrift by Eiichi. These are perhaps the most beguiling of all the Hagi SO's, do you agree?

Seigan before and after. It took only a few days for the crackles to show up and the cup to develop the discoloration. I enjoy using this guinomi and reserve it for either gyokuro or sencha. Color difference is only the camera picking up color in the available light.
