Coconut, that is a dear gaiwan. That will make some great tea!
WW (woozl's wife) has created a great cup...and that's her first piece?!?!?!
Too cool!
Victoria, I was wondering if you'd remember that one of you pictures inspired my purple chawan!
Victoria, when you put your new teapot next to the rest of your collection, they are all going to figure that the robot aliens have come to take over the planet! What a cool addition...and thanks for sharing his (it looks like a "him" to me) acquisition story...shopping is so much fun!
Have fun,
Dreamer

Re: Show Off Your Pots and Cups XI
Thanks Victoria, Dreamer. I brew mostly green in that one. I'm still looking for a teeny gaiwan for oolongs, around 60-70ml
Re: Show Off Your Pots and Cups XI

a Frevd teapot from England -- Victoria, that's a terrific pot. Unusual and attractive.
What teas do you plan on brewing in it? What does the inside look like? Is the brewing basket large? And removable?

The capacity is only about 2 cups, so it should be good for English style brewing. I'll probably use it for Darjeelings, when I want to make a potteasbest wrote:a Frevd teapot from England -- Victoria, that's a terrific pot. Unusual and attractive.

to take to my desk or the garden. It has a nice removable SS filter, similar to a Bodum. It is very heavy, nicely constructed pot. Sweet!

Reminds me of 2001,
Hello, HAL. Do you read me, HAL?

Ha! I'm thinking more of a diving bell. Or sometimes I end up humming Yellow Submarine!woozl wrote:Reminds me of 2001,![]()

Re: Show Off Your Pots and Cups XI
As some of you may from a prior thread, I was searching for a wooden chasen holder. When I started with matcha I bought a quality chasen and a bamboo holder. I really grew to love this combination. Recently I bought a darker colored chasen the search began for a second wooden holder. Suddenly they proved difficult to find, and costly when found.
Thank you to chicagopotter for suggesting to me to use Etsy Alchemy! Through alchemy I met Bob of Bob's Custom Woodcrafts to whom I sent my bamboo holder as a pattern and who then made me a beautiful handcrafted walnut chasen holder!

Howzit Tim,
My real name is also Tim and I live on the island of Maui. Glad to meet you. I got into Pu-erh about a year ago. I wanted to lose weight and a friend told me to drink Chinese teas as part of my diet. So I chose Pu-erh to drink and as of now I lost about 46lbs. in 6 months. That's a total of 80lbs. in six years!! Anyway, because of Pu-erh I got into Yixing teapots. So now I'm getting into Yixing teapots with an artist certificates. You have a nice set. The teapot on the right go's for about $35.00-$68.00 online. The other one go's for about $ 130.00. I love Da Zhou's works. There's two more teapots that I want to get but I need to "Shake the money tree" a little bit more.
Aloha

Why not please introduce yourself in Introduction and tell us more about you. Glad you are here with us! And looking forward to seeing more of your wares.
Another one from Hawaii, Wow. Corylum hails also from Hawaii, is a fabulous potter and you can find him under TeaWare Artisians!
