I think so... not really exactly sure yet. Only brewed in it a couple times so far. Some people swear by them, saying they reduce astringency... Gonna try with different senchas etc. and see if I can tell a difference.

Ordered this
http://artisticnippon.com/product/tokon ... itome.html from Mr. Toru. Can't wait to pick it up from the post office. It is absolutely unbelievable how insanely fast EMS is. I sent the payment on Nov. 28 17:58 and the order was in the post office Dec. 1st at 2:08. So the shipping itself is 2-3 days. And that's to go 10,000 miles!! For comparison, to ship to North Carolina from California takes 3-4 days.

Ah that is a very nice teapot. Similar to the Gyokko I own. You shan't be disappointed.

What a strange question. Why do you ask?
...just kidding. Those are TIM's pots in the photo- I was only commenting on his post. We'll have to ask him. TIM? Little pigs? [And while you're at it, stop being so shy about the blue clay and drop some knowledge on us! Are they for your treasured
Wild Blueberry teabags?]

hi coconut
japan is one day ahead
so they have an extra day of traveling time. plus major hubs etc.
EMS is the fastest they have.
try sending from N.carolina to CA by express mail. its guarateed for 1 day or so. money back guaranteed.
the world is small. amazing !
the international dateline is the culprit too !

Ordered this kyusu and cups from sur la table. The pot and cups are bigger than indicated, but that's just fine with me. It comes with an infuser basket. I think I'm addicted to japanese teaware

I have one like that one too. The one from yuukicha. Yours have a real filter though. Gyokko seems to be a pretty good potter for the price of his pieces.

Just got another tokoname from yuuki-cha:
http://www.yuuki-cha.com/Japanese+Teapo ... ame+Teapot
As soon as i got it, i fell in love with it. It's great. Does not dribble, great crafstsmanship, I very highly recommend this to anyone who wants a quality tokoname. The price isn't too bad either $73 including EMS shipping.
