That vase is actually a tokkuri by Rob...ha! But it's a vase for right now, and a handsome one at that.

This little guy just arrived today from China. I am very pleased and quite happy to have him. A little pig for Little Pig!

Little late, but I have almost the same pot! My son was born in the year of the piggy and i bought this as a commemorative piece. Voluminous, but a very good tea pot if it is like mine. (^^) Here is mine:

I paint (or did - my muse has gone AWOL) and seeing these tiny works of art makes me think about painting again! I just may find that muse again soon.

My favorite - I love the fact that it kinda looks like a flower in the bottom


Not usually my first choice among the three, but still very enjoyable to use.

Someone had some questions about my recent post in the yixing section and thought I would post the answer here. They were after one of my blue and white cups, so here it is, close-up!






Both of these were bought through antique wholesalers in Kyoto, but the origins of the cups are anyone's guess. I don't buy much from them, but they save a few interesting things for me when I show up to chat.

I finally got the chance to take some photos of the new cup I purchased from Ericka O'Rourke. This is a wonderful little cup - very unique. The unusual shape took just a minute to get used to, and you find these wonderful indentions that fit your thumb just perfect. Getting photo's of it was tough for this amateur! Going outside helped with the lighting, and inspired some azalea blooms
