I was assigned, but I had trouble finding organic and when I did, the butter was made from cows with hormones, so I nixed the whole idea.

Maybe someone has that ziplock baggie of discarded cheap tea Britt passed on we can brew up??
Dangit, now i'm gonna have to pick through some crappy genmai to find some popcorn.

Well, I've had enough of his BS and actually posted a reply. The guy doesn't know what he's talking about and is basically trying to justify paying big bucks for pots. Sorry, Hou De's pots are all over Taiwan for 1/10 of the price he sells them at. I, for one, have no faith in his info more than anybody else's.

Dang, MarshalN, that academic training wasn't wasted on you! Now wait for him to tell you that you don't know what you're talking about because you've never been there!

I love it. The only thing I have issue with (and that I'm pretty sure Britt will jump on as his easiest route to obfuscation) is that the FDA does poke its nose into all kinds of things that are not technically "food" or "drugs." A number of years back, they did do port investigations of ceramic imports, testing for lead and other substances, and "approving" certain cargo loads as safe... or at least not containing lead.

But yeah, what MarshalN said. :D

Why hasn't britt been banned from Teachat, at least temporarily?
Did he post an apology message I haven't seen?

I feel like banning him would be a cop-out right now; plus, I'm not a huge fan of banning unless necessary. He is looking like a necessary ban lately, but at least let us devour him first.

What does "a cop-out " mean?

I don't want to play with britt: it is far too easy to make him lose his temper.

a cop-out is like a shortcut, or a lazy workaround. Basically doing something that is easier rather than seeing it through its due course.

Bah. It looks like three men DO make a tiger. Now he's got a couple of mini-me's running around saying "yeah well China DOES do bad things so this MUST be factual! POISON TEAPOTS! POISON TEAPOTS! Burn 'em at the stake! We no need no steenkin' FACTS!"

And what the hell was that comment about the blue states and the courts? WTF?

I dunno, given the incredibly new nature of his minime and the fact that he himself has been quiet, I wonder if he spawned an alternate persona to try to back himself up.

We don't do a temporary ban from TeaChat...it's an all or nothing deal. IM bans, however, may be temporary. The kinks are still being worked out on that.

Britt has not posted any apology message, nor has he said as much to Chip or I in private. He stands with two official warnings. At this point, the second he does something against our forum rules, he will feel the wrath of the banhammer.

I gotta admit, I wondered the same thing. The way the two use language are just similar enough to raise my suspicions. Britt's currently posting from 63 different IP addresses whereas cupioneer has posted 8 from 3 different IPs. None are in common, though, and the geographical locations are pretty different. I'm gonna use Occam's razor on this one and declare two separate people. :)

Yay parsimony!
