No, I missed that. {groan} What a temptation! Is it Christmastime yet?
Oy!! Loved the SHAPE of the bowls in that set, but I have the gaiwan already. Darn. But I ordered 2 of the 120ml cup and they have a nice feel.

Do I take it that the bowls (cups) in the set are different from your cup above? The ones in the gift set look as though they might be shorter and wider... but that could be an effect of the way the photo was taken. (I like the taller version better myself.)

It does appear the ones in the gift set are different - shorter and wider.
I prefer that type! But oh well!

If I ever buy the gift set, we can always do a cup swap :D

And OK, I just ordered a "standard" gaiwan, but that little flat houhin-style gaiwan is charming the heck out of me. So seriously, I'm tempted. (Oh my aching credit card...)

Actually, this coinage must have been used before by somebody.

We may just need to start compiling our own glossary.
Apologies to both parties whom I have aggrieved in one fell maladroit compliment! I am aiming for a new standard in social dis-grace.

*Glossary, yes. Who will be glossarian?*
Foof, I'm not offended. No worries.

Poor Salsero, having to apologize in two different directions. ("Glossarian" reminds me of Yossarian in Catch-22. Coincidence? )

I do like the idea of a glossary, though. A really simple one, with our most frequently used special terms and acronyms, to aid new members ... or older ones (like me) who don't know their cha he from their cha hai, even if it was handed to them on a tea table.

The gaiwan is sweet ... the cups are sweet ... the gift set is sweet ... the flared/spouted gaiwan (whatever it is called) is sweet. Got it? I want them all ... and have none.

Regarding the proper nomenclature credits, Sal may have so named the Oolongians, a friendly term for oolong drinkers.

I however created the derogatory "Oolongonians" which pokes fun at the oolong drinkers, and the downright mean spirited "Oooolongonians." Not sure which name aptly applies to me though.

I think that may be a little too close to "Oregonians."

Very funny actually.

Awwww, purely coincidental I am sure and not a freudian slippage thing. Tell ya what, give me some of your rice cups and we will call it even, ok!

I want to keep the Hou De gaiwan!

It hasn't even arrived yet, dammit.

{joins Chip in sulking}

I believe I wanted it before you even knew it existed...which entitles me to sulk. :(

But I will rejoice in your coup. :D
