I kind of go through everything in waves. I will try all teas from anywhere, but at the end of the day it's usually a Japanese green of some kind. I truly believe you should never stop experimenting with different teas ever. You could find your new fave tomorrow. China green today Zhejiang Mao Feng.[/img]

I am seemingly pretty well situated in Japan, but I am always adventuring out. It took me pretty many years to be mostly in one place as I was clearly everywhere for a long time. I truly like where I am at today. Focused, yet still outwardly mobile in the TeaRealm.
Began the TD with a Japanese tea of course. Up to a few short years ago, I never began TDs with Japanese tea, now it is an everyday event it seems.
Sencha the Ulitimate from Yame Prefecture, Japan. I guess I am pretty much all over the map of Japan come to think of it. SweeTea was along for the trip while Wulong and Pyrit watched from the TeaTable.
Enjoy the TD, enjoy the day ...

blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!
My tea drinking tends to be moderately focused, and the change of focus parallels the change of seasons. In the spring/summer, I tend to drink japanese green, green oolong, and the occasional young pu erh or chinese green. In the late summer (when it's still warm, but first flush frenzy has faded) I prefer dan cong. Whereas, in the fall/winter, I tend to drink yancha, some aged sheng, and some aged oolong.
I voted "I am mostly arrived, but still on a bit of a Tour de Thé"
I have found that my tea interests are primarily Chinese, but I will try any and all teas - yes, even kombucha, if I can ever find a culture.
For me, China has the history and the teas I'm interested in, especially oolongs and pu ers, but I think I would be a very large fool to disregard other teas and their countries of origin.
For me, tea is like art - There is always the opportunity to learn, and then incorporate what you have learned into yourself.
This morning, an iced Ceylon.
It's pretty hot in good ol' Idaho

I have mostly arrived. Taiwan is the destination for me.
But I got a little sidetracked this year in Darjeeling.
In my cup this morning - DaYuLing from
Floating Leaves Tea = Perfection!

Floating Leaves Tea is really excellent! The one I am referring to is Camellia Sinensis in Canada. They now join Hou De, Jing Tea Shop and Tea Masters as my top Oolong vendors. I think I am done now. Do you really need more than 5?depravitea wrote:What tea vendor is that you're referring to Victoria?
I'm trying to expand my knowledge and experience with oolongs.
I just got an oolong order in from Floating Leaves, and it's really excellent tea!
Sometimes I think some of this is the same stuff. It probably is!

They have both. I order online. The site is a bit hard to navigate:depravitea wrote:Does Camellia Sinensis have a website, or is it walk-in only?
