Making some Gyokuro Tsuru-Jiru-Shi now. Just opened my second bag of it after having a bit of an oolong period after the first bag.

and my post counter is still not working ;)
Sorry to hear about the allergies.

Your second bag of the Tsuru? How was the first, if you also had the Kame, was Tsuru worth the added expense?

Post counter will be worked on later this week. I passed on a LONG list of problems with the new forum to Ilya. This was high on the list. Everyone's posts are here, once the glitch is fixed all the existing posts should tally for all members.
The first bag was amazing. I've written a little review of it on o-cha.com. It is expensive, but the quality matches the price. Kame-giru-shi is a fantastic tea as well, but Tsuru-jiru-shi is the best Gyokuro I have had.

Yes I do have them, but they don't get the chance to run through my tea set up. For a few reasons, but one of them being they're bound to stick their noses in the cups and tip them over!

Is the "search" function problem (no results from ancient posts) also on the list?
Yep! 8)

In answer to the topic, YES. There is a butcher block table/island in the kitchen, I have my tea tray there. Unfortunately, the table is a major cat thoroughfare.

Try as I may to "train" them otherwise, occasionally they bop right across the tea tray much to my dismay ... and panic. Amazingly, they have not broken any teaware in ages, which is astounding, given that is is everywhere.

Yesterday was odd with "Bear" who walked across my tea tray 4 times in less than 5 minutes. Fortunately, I had already cleared all the teaware.

Began the TeaDay with a 2008 Chiran Yutaka Midori from O-Cha which I opened in April. I sealed this up and put it back into cold storage once shincha arrived almost 4 months ago. It is still remarkably good! SweeTea liked it while Wulong and Pyrit at least managed to stay off the TeaTray.

No pets by choice. I empathize with Drax's noisy neighbor dog problem, neurotic pet behavior. Having temp camped out for two months while transitioning apts, in a home with a neurotic dog, it sucks!

My recent experience emphasized the cause - owner behavior inducing and reinforcing separation anxiety. Made a huge fuss of leaving every day. Never exercised the dog. Sedentary dog and owner had deplorable sleep habits. Both had anxiety disorders and owner has multiple chemical addictions to compensate. This owner couldn't leave his dog outside; he was outraged to have previously received several large fines for public disturbance (dog howled while he was gone - he thought it was 'cute').

Animals on the tea table - on any eating or food prep surface - should be a big "NO!" for hygiene and safety. It's a common habit that must be firmly curbed because like dogs, cats will quickly push their owners limits and become 'alpha animal', doing as they please, including acting out in retaliation.

I grew up in a home with multiple dogs and cats. I don't dislike pets. I am, however, fed up with ubiquitous, irresponsible pet owners and major pet overpopulation problem: casual cat breed colonies on every block, high density of stray dog and cats, owners who let their animals out to defecate in other peoples flower gardens and yards.

English Breakfast, a homemade OP blend that is vastly superior to the crap peddled by most online vendors, in my cup.

Buckley likes to invade any and all spaces. I mean, I guess we are actually invading his space?

Struck a nerve? No, just got tired of drinking 'breakfast teas' that were little more than overpriced / over-rated teabag bits.

Chilling with Nilgiri estate iced tea.

Awww sweet Chicago!!! Looks like my departed Kess. I still miss her. Looks like Buckley has a sweet disposition.

Aphro - sweet pup!! I was about to do the same as Olivier, till I saw he beat me to it. You are probably just not getting down to the actual pic address location. If you right click on your pic in the album you will see the properties. There you can copy the exact link.

Is opening links in a NEW WINDOW on the Ilya list?????? I HOPE SO!!!

Yes. At the moment, my rescued bird is irritatingly squawking his brains out, my cat is on the back of my chair doing a vulture impression regarding my cup, and my dachshund is trying to get me to pick him up.

It's not especially peaceful, but sometimes it's nice to be adored. Even if it IS just for what's in my cup and bowl.

Seriously, Intuit, did you bang your head on the wall this morning when you got up on the wrong side of your bed?

I have a cat, but he does not invade my TeaSpace. He is one of the most well behaved cats I have ever owned. He never jumps on the counters or
the table. He is unbelievably well behaved. It is strange, not complaining, but it's strange. I would love to have another cat, but life is so calm right now. *waves to Geek* heh.

In my cup this morning Koucha from Yuuki-Cha, hope to get to some new samples later today.

As I live in a dollhouse-sized apartment, I have no pet. But I would like to have a cat someday. My landlord (who lives downstairs) has a cat and a dog, however, and sometimes the cat visits me, which allows me to experience all the pleasures and none of the responsibilities of pet ownership. And sometimes I walk the dog, and when I do, I get why people have dogs, despite all the work it can involve. Dogs do joy really well.
