In my cup this afternoon Japanese Oolong from Yukki-Cha. Leaning more towards a black, yet with a definite Wuyi quality. A nice cup on this busy afternoon.

I like things to always be tastyroo, once the method works I usually don't change it

But it can change, depending on the "strength" I want!
Having my first infusion of Zencha takumi, nummy nummy!!! Ramadan begins tomorrow, very little tea this month. Ramadan Mubarak!

*raised eyebrow* Whaddya mean, little tea during Ramadan fasting?
If anything, social tea and coffee imbibing rate doubles.
Iced sencha in my cup. Man, you get some amazing jewel-like colors in these slow cold-brewed infusions. Makes me smile to open the fridge and see the pot sitting there, calling softly.

That pretty much nails my brewing skills to a 'T': I seek consistency in my brewing, but brew inherently for variety. I have been persistent in following some of the sencha brewing guidelines posted by members and gotten good steepings from Sae Midori which has opened my eyes to what a good tea it is. However, I love the after taste of Yutaka Midori even more and feel my day goes really much better for having had either tea. YK this evening in my new yunomi.

(Sorry, phone camera...real camera next on the agenda...any suggestions?)

Less tea than usual, none during the day hehe. My own personal addiction will be controlled

! Social gatherings is another story hahaha....friends promised to help out with iftar and suhoor meals throughout Ramadan YAY!

Yeah, what Carl said...I want variety in what I'm choosing to brew (like to have 2 or 3 Japanese greens to choose from and 3 or 4 blacks to choose from at any given time), but I want to get each to a consistent great brew!!!
Busy day today, but I did have Ceylon Lumbini (teasource) this morning with my son at breakfast...this tea is good, nice aroma, beautiful color but it doesn't "do" anything for me in the morning (good iced tea, though). Maybe I'm thinking that later in the day I might like it better.
Right now 3rd steep of YM. Kind of a late start...but after we got back from moving our daughter back to school, I REALLY needed some green!!!!

Some days I am more consistent than others, but more times than not, variety spices up my life. There are certain teas that are more forgiving and more fun to switch up the brewing just to see what they can taste like, but others that are so incredibly finicky that once I hit the sweet spot, I try to brew as close as possible to those parameters in order to repeat the awesomeness.
Enjoying some iced mugicha at the moment.

I typically brew my tea at work in one of the microwaveable steepers, before the store opens (I work in retail, blegh). Typically, I lose track of time and forget how long I've been brewing it. It usually turns out fine, and if it's too strong, I just add some milk to it (it will usually be a flavored black tea so I can wake up some in the morning, and the milk addition goes well). This morning I mixed "Creamy Chai", a user-blend on Adagio, mixed with "Snowflake", this tea I got in a shop in Berlin, MD- it has almonds in it and is super delicious! The mix was weird, I prefer them separate

I tried the Creamy Chai iced before as well and it's very good!

Middle of the road.
Sometimes I like to know 100% what I'm in for. Other times I purposely change up leaf amounts and brew times. I think experimentation is a vital part of tea drinking, and production, for that matter, as well.
