Not sure that I have a single favorite instrument. I like harmonies, so I guess a humongous church organ would fit the bill. Preferably playing some Bach.

Continuing an exploration into the oolongs today.

A bit of a stressful day, but good tea anyway. Tried the new Black Dragon Pearls from Adagio along with DW This is Yunnan black. The 2nd steep was full of honey nuances.

Currently Zencha Sencha The Ultimate, this stuff rox.

Electric guitar for me, both playing and listening to.

No tea for me today, maybe some tomorrow.

Nope, I can't pick a favorite...I'm glad there are so many!

Hard day at my j-o-b today...I didn't even get time to drink what I took in my briefcase bullet. Just now I'm sitting down with some Fuki sincha (yum, forgot I had this!) Kind of late for me to be starting a session, but sometimes you just have to say "what the fuki"

Right this minute drums are my fav; my son is banging away, oops, I mean playing downstairs. Sounds good to me...he's a swimmer and since swimming started (3 weeks ago) I think his arms have been too tired to play much! I'm glad he's back down there!

Happy sipping, All,
Dreamer

My favorite would be the violin or the fiddle - depending on the type of music being played - both speak to the heart.

Classical and Brahms Violin Concerto in D or a fiddle player in a small pub with a peat fire going somewhere in the Hebrides with the fiddle singing Gaelic...

Yutaka Midori this evening along with wasabi peas...

:D :D :D :D :D YAY! WE GOT LUKE (our dog) BACK! :D :D :D :D :D

Just as my husband was going to work this afternoon, he got a call from the Humane Society. He had to go to work, but I was just getting off, so went and picked up my daughter, changed clothes, grabbed the leash and went to see if it was him. Luke was hanging out in the yard of some people about 3 miles (and across the river) from us. He wouldn't let them get close enough to see his tags, but they fed watered him in a place in the shade. He ran up to us as soon as he saw us. the people were so nice, they were dog breeders, and so happy that we were his owners.

Now he is crashed out on the dining room floor, exhausted from his adventure.

Thanks again, everyone, for all of your encouragement and well-wishes!

Vera

Have been away the last few days, so missed the earlier music polls. I play the piano and harpsichord, non-professionally, so I suppose those would have to rank as favorites. Definitely classical, especially early music and most anything 20th century, plus selective things in between, like Brahms. My son-in-law did the Brahms violin concerto in his senior recital, so the violin has to be right up there as well. And I've long said that if there were such a thing as reincarnation I'd like to come back as a cello. Take your pick.

Currently in the process of finishing off a modest little stash of shincha; here today, probably gone tomorrow.

Ole Cool-Hand Luke has better have a good explanation for his sudden fit of wanderlust! What, no vacation this year? yukyukyuk. Glad to hear he is back home, geeber. Small miracles do happen. :-O

Speaking of small miracles, my errant tea order of last month is still wandering the postal galaxy, speeding, no....lollygagging, that's better...on it's way to me.

White peony in my cup.

Windblown.... for sure.
I love the silence, between the notes of Miles Davis.
Or the sound of Coltrane.
Truly a one note player.
As you only need to hear is one note and instantly you know it's Coltrane.

I have a soft spot for jazz piano. I am absolutely fascinated by it for some unknown reason. My ability to play is not too great, but it is definitely one of my favorite things to listen to. A good saxophone or acoustic guitar rank high as well.

Cup is empty as I got thoroughly distracted by reformatting my friend's computer. It actually functions now and everything is installed, but the evening lacked tea beyond a glass of iced tea with dinner.

I am so glad to hear Luke is safe and back home! 3 miles ehhh? There was obviously an attractive female involved, and he was chasing, and got lost, and refused to ask for directions. Men!

hehehehehehe love to play guitar, and fiddle around with bass :D But I love the sound of the sitar/tabla/sakura/lyre/ambient synths-----> ENDLESS. Too bad I have missed so many of these musical themed teadays...one of the biggest parts of my life!

Sharing a late night cup of castleton moonlight with my roommate, been really busy with school and Ramadan. Not much tea! Love this month though, always enlightening :) RAMADAN KAREEM!!!!
