how sweet! I'm currently searching for my birthday day...or an aged tea from the year I was born, and only drinking it once a year on my birthday...a little harder than I imagined though.

Birthday tea is a great idea too! Though really hard to find...I've been keeping my eye open for a puerh or oolong from 1977 for her but haven't seen anything yet.

I think it's only possible if you get into tea drinking in earlier years, as aged teas will only get more expensive and rare with age. If you get into tea drinking when you're in your 60s...good luck affording a large amount of birthday tea. That said, If anyone knows of a good '87 oolong, let me know...

I think it's probably easier to a pu'er cake for the year you were born, but it's probably harder/expensive to find a Oolong from your birthday. Imen as a '86 that might do the trick...I can just fudge the date around in my mind....

The problem with 70's tea is that's all it's usually labeled as...no specific year.

My thoughts on the Wuyi Fo Shou

On my blog I sort of gave this tea a so so rating... but I will say this tea does have an excellent aroma. Though I feel its a little bit of a catch 22, as longer steeps improve the aroma, but they also increase the nutty taste of which I'm not incredibly fond.

Though I feel if I should rate this tea on the qualities I look for in a tea, this one would have to rate pretty highly, it just does not call out to me very strongly due to that slightly off taste, with which I am sure that many others do not have a problem.

But I'd be like to hear from others on the TLH and the XHP.
