A-also, I ask: as a new person to tea, what should I buy in way of tea? I mean, is there anything in particular that is easy to brew and good for newbies?

Welcome to the wonders of loose tea. 
I'm relatively new to loose leaf tea myself, though I still think that there are some bagged teas that can be just as good aswell (yeah, yeah blasphemy, I know
) such as Mighty Leaf. My advice, try lots of different teas (not just Adagio either) and get a taste for what's out there.
