I voted 'Chinese'. I had several tasty Chinese greens, whites and a few new oolongs and black teas, too.

While I also tried new teas from other tea-producing nations, China topped my list for September.

In my cup, a sweet TGY in indecipherable packaging sent by a friend. Nice!

Tsuru Jiru Shi gyokuro right now: I have just opened a new bag (and reordered another one with two bags of asamushi warashina).

Well as much as it pains me not to vote for Taiwanese, since I have consumed more of that than any other; still I have to vote for Japan. Yuuki-Cha's Koucha black was a favorite and I consumed much of it and shared many samples, and repurchased twice! I have bought a lot of this tea, so it wins for September's best. :)

Started the morning with Carmelia Sinensis Darjeeling Gopaldhara Wt-1 1st flush - which I commonly refer to as Darjeeling Oolong. :)

Yay, October!! I love the fall.

O-Cha Sae Midori a little while ago, I found this small sample hiding in the TeaFridge from a previous tasting, opened for quite some time, but extremely rich and full of umami, I could almost cut it with a knife and eat it! :P

Next up, a new opening. Opened a bag of Den's asamushi premium Zuiko with Mrs. C. Lovely needles. This is a trial run for an upcoming tasting.

After consulting the bag, and not quite believing, I consulted the site, 160* with NO preheating! With trepidation I proceeded and was astounded and rewarded by a very distinct, albeit background, cinnamon aroma. Florals, vegetals, and a slight bitter bite rounded it out. Very nice indeed :!:

For me it must be Taiwanese because I drank quite a bit last month, trying out a lot of samples.

I had to answer "other" only because I was all over the map this month...Japan (o-cha's fuka supreme and mmmmmatcha), China (Yunnan), Taiwan (various from FLT), and Ceylon.

Started today with Ceylon Kenilworth. This afternoon my tea buddy made Tulsi tea...first sniff, weird spice smell; first taste, didn't like it at all....BUT I immediately wanted another sip. I chugged it like a desert wanderer at an oasis. I went back to her desk and said "what is this stuff?" Did some googlin' and decided to order some. As it happens I was planning an order of Neela Nilgiri from ToT and they have Tulsi too. It should make a nice brew for late evenings!

Hope everyone is looking forward to a great weekend!

"Emperor" Long Jing from TeaSpring gets my vote for September. I just love this stuff.

Sae Midori from O-Cha runs a close second. Yunnan Gold from Adagio this evening.
