Late to the TD today. Fuji the feline required some medical attention.
Anyway, my top 3 choices. Tea recommendations, brewing guidelines, and where to find good info on all things tea. I am sure I would get him started with some easy brewers that I have to share.
Began the TD with Yutaka Midori from O-Cha. Next up, some dribs and drabs from some samples of Japanese teas which came out quite nicely!

Great question...and wonderful answers!
I picked "other", because my first advice would have to be about opening the mind to what "tea" can be. Letting go of my idea of what tea is "supposed" to taste like, really tasting the tea I have and experiencing what that tea has to tell has made all the difference for me.
Today in my cup...Tulsi tea this morning. Right now working on a session of Kabusecha from o-cha...opened the bag just this week; I love this sweet green tea!
Happy sipping, All,

I voted "what to buy first" because I think it is key to have them try a variety of quality tea to find what they like. If all they try is black tea and they don't like black tea then it could turn them away from all tea. Emphasize that all types are different and keep trying.
