I've been using the same gaiwan for awhile now, and I just chipped the lid last week

I'm going to retire it before it's totally destroyed, so I've been looking around.

Also, I'm going to get these ->

Very nice choices! I think I have those fishy bowls.
Next up, Sae Midori from O-Cha!

I checked "Yes, serious" because I've been eyeing a kyusu for months now, and I just decided to go for it, and received it last Friday before I left town for the weekend. It is every bit as lovely as I had hoped. No I haven't done pictures, yes, I'll get to it.

Funny koinkidinky, I obviously did this topic last night, then this AM and without prior notice I had prelim pics to go through. So, beautifully coincidental. I could not have planned it better.
OK, time is now or never for one more tea today ... I dare not have another O-Cha tea today lest I be hung as a shill ............

Can't wait to see!!!
I am always wanting teaware. But nothing is really on my mind. I have two Hagi pieces coming on Friday. In the meantime I am fighting my English teaware urges. I rarely use it, and I plan to sell some of what I have, yet I find pieces I am drawn to.
Overslept, late for work, had my first tea at work; Ali Shan Traditional from Floating Leaves Tea. Since then, just resteeps on ice.

I'm sort of always looking at/for teaware. It's the buying part I don't often do. There are certainly a few things I'm considering at the moment. Maybe as a treat to myself at the end of the month, after I take the GRE. Hm.
Just trying to keep it mellow today with some pouchong.

Oh yes. I am patiently awaiting the results of the most recent firing from one of our Teaware Artisans who is known as shyrabbit. As of this evening, the kiln is cooling so I may get to see my new yunomi tomorrow. I've been actively searching for a new cup since early August, but I hadn't found anything that I absolutely needed until I started chatting with Michael.
Currently in my cup is blood orange rooibos.

For awhile I've been wanting a nice 4-6 oz Yixing. Not too ornate. When I see the right piece, I'll go for it! Sorta deficient that I don't have one yet.

Good luck in your search. Yixing shopping makes me kinda queeezy, I overthink the process wayyy too much, and then generally do nothing.

I think they call it analysis paralysis. Not necessarily a bad thing really. If I am that uncertain about something, I am better off waiting til the time is more ripe ... when perhaps I am more comfortable making such a decision.
I am so not there with Yixing, seems the more I know, I realize I know even less than I thought.
