Seems a little too chunky for fly ash. Probably fired in close proximity to either the firebox or a stoking port. Gotta say I like 'em both slick or chunky.

I think it is interesting to look at, but I would not want my tea in contact with it. Maybe on a shelf or with a plant in it. Ha.

IPT, ... heh, my first thought was a ship wreck piece that sat at the bottom of the ocean for 100s of years. Have some yohen Bizen that I love, but that is uber yohen! I never saw one that extreme.
