TeaRific TD. Began with a blend of some dribs and drabs of sencha which actually brewed up quite nicely. Followed by Matcha Miyabi with DW from Den's. I definitely picked up very noticable dried fruit after I placed the matcha in a preheated Cory Lum Chawan ... and then after adding water as well. Lastly Hatsumi from O-Cha.

Don't worry, cross brewing is perfectly healthy and natural. Many people cross brew and live long and healthy lives. It's perfectly normal.

Oh Dr. Murrius thank you for affirming my cross-brew addiction. I was worried it was only me and that someone might discover my Hagi habit.

Just this afternoon I had a lovely Baozhong from Floating Leaves Tea in a Deishi Hagi wan and well, it all seemed just so right. Thank you.

I ofter have some part of the setup from another country than where the tea came from, but it is usually not the teapot. I occasionally brew oolongs in my Gyokko teapot –more that a I use it for greens. I brewed some Taiwanese Green in my Biwa-Yuu Wan yesterday. Today my setup has two peices from Germany, 3 from Taiwan and 1 from China.

I cross brew all the time, since I pretty much use a gaiwan for everything...
Unless the tea I happen to be brewing is Chinese, of course.
