Nice tea after indulging in some homemade mushroom soup.

Currently in my 'rice' cup, karigane w/ matcha with a few home roasted grains thrown in for good measure by the Mod.

All my teaware animals are here. Only two yunomi, two chawan, one cannister a shifuku (for chaire) and a kashi kiri (pick for sweets) case.

The horns are not visible on the picture but it is definitively a cow.

Otsuusan sencha after dinner.

Some fishes on my Chinese tea bowls, cranes on my Korean tea bowls, birds on Japanese teacups. Humans everywhere.
And I have this ugly little teapot that I've never figured out what it is. It has toads and lizard on it.

tasogare seibei, what's 風に三枚特別濁り Kaze ni Sanmai Tokubetsu Nigori it looks dangerous but intriguing.
Some Ceylon Uva Highlands today. It's not very good. Think I need something I know is good next.
I've got dragon and phoenix sniffer cup sets. A little clay pot with some clay fish stuck to it and a few birds on some cups.

I hope everyone is having a great TD. Been busy on a special project.
I would say pretty many animals/creatures adorn teaware here. Dragons are a fave, and they are well represented. Cats, cranes, fish, lizards, frogs, moths, butterfiles, humans, etc. This is mostly on Chinese teaware, interesting?!?
Great TeaDay began with Hatsumi from O-Cha. SweeTea joined in and enjoyed while Wulong, Pyrit, and Ceylon were just cluttering the TeaTable.
Next was a double tasting of Yame Fukamushi and Zuiko Asamushi from Den's.

Am I brain dead from looking at a LOT of photos today, this looks so much like one of Robert Fornell (Ronin Ceramurai), minus the kitty, who is one of our TeawareArtisans.

Wow, that's a very well known potter! I'm fond of his sibling's work, 冗談 四月一日, Joudan Watanuki. Very famous, those Joudans.tasogare seibei wrote:Todays chawan is this wonderful piece by potter 冗談 土等衛門 Joudan Doraemon which I acquired somewhere in my travels across the universe.
The animals I have are almost all on gaiwans that I own -- dragon, phoenix, horse, fish, birds. I have a couple of old ship-wreck pottery pieces that I use as chataku and one of them has a snail on it. Or something.
The last bit of meizhan this evening. Of all the rock teas I tried, this had such a light roast that it really reminded me of a greener oolong after the first couple cups. Interesting.
Re: Monday TeaDay 11/16/09 Lions, tigers, and bears ... ?
No animals on my teaware. One general mug has a spray of flowers, and another has the Red Dragon of Wales, but those aren't teaware. In general I like my ware plain.

On all of my teaware, there are but two living creatures depicted. Two fish on my trusty thermos.

CORRECTION!
My Yixing teapot has a few bats, and a couple dragons.
