Aww hope you feel better! Pancakes for lunch will help! :)
Thanks, Victoria! :) My husband and daughter had pancakes for breakfast, but the syrup just wipes me out for the rest of the day. For lunch, however ...

I'll try to get pics of my new cup (even though it's no great work of art!) if I can find the camera charger. It's been AWOL since Thanksgiving weekend.

Mmmm, Mexican for me! Although I do love just about any kind of food, if I'm "denied" Mexican for very long, I do crave it. Chinese would be a close second. And I do tend to like both with LOTS of heat

Tea today so far...Ceylon Kenilworth shared with DH over a simple breakfast of eggs and toast...perfect Sunday morning.

I hope everybody has had a great weekend!

Oh, I don't take mine with syrup, just butter. Oh we all love to see any new cup, cheap tea thrills, ya know? I'm working on pics of my my cup with tea, as we speak!

French restaurant for sure, although the representation of what a French restaurant is might be different abroad.

Kaboku sencha this evening.

big Edit:

They must have run out of monkeys:)
I have never been to that site (mariage freres), but that made me laugh.
Hmmm, very hard to choose; with my recent health challenge (now better) and how my diet is completely re-jiggered, no dairy, no wheat, etc, blah, blah. Lots of yummy things verboten for me now.
So that leaves, Japanese!! Yummm. :D
Wako matcha this morning. Followed by organic oku yutaka sencha. Mmmm. Gonna hit some puerh in a bit. God I love tea.
And...
God I love this site and getting to visit about tea-love with everyone.
:D
hope this is clearer now :)

Thanks for bringing color to TD, Victoria.

Love tea, love food. Both in immoderation. :D I would pick Japanese as first choice more times than not, love Japanese food, though I have likely only scratched the surface.

Amazingly, I have never eaten a a Thai restaurant. I am sure I would love Thai. I also really enjoy Korean, Chinese, Cajun, Italian ... well, just about anything. 8) I will try ANYTHING once.

Began the TD with a tasting of Zencha The Ultimate. Next up, Matcha in a Cory Lum Chawan with DW. Currently a tasting of Zuiko from Den's.

Another vote for Indian food.
With a nice iced tea please or maybe a milky chai afterward :)

Haha! I saw that too. Crazy, yet I want to try it. Maybe they will throw in (carefully place inside a velvet bag) with my next order for all my trouble!

Seeker,

Just a little friendly "heads up"....and I am REALLY sorry to maybe "rain on the parade" a bit. There is wheat in many places that you don't expect it in Japanese food. Soy sauce often has wheat in it. As do some misos. And so on. So if you have a wheat allergy....... start reading the labels.

best,

.................john

Definitely Japanese with Chinese, Thai and Greek coming close behind. Anything with a good stir-fry is fine by me though feta cheese and Kalamata olives stuffed with garlic are awesome. Oddly enough, I got an excellent Oriental cookbook for $5 on the clearance rack at Borders yesterday. We tried a Thai curry recipe, but it was a bit too spicy for our tastes. Next time there will be less chilies, more garlic and a better balance of spices.

Today, I happily opened my new teas (old favorites that needed to be reordered) from the New Mexico Tea Company that I received Saturday afternoon. The owner, David, was nice enough to let me know the order was going to be delayed a few days due to restocking and included an extra 4oz of Earl Grey to make up for the lost tea time. Yay for awesome tea vendors!

Chinese..with a caveat! it has to be authentic Chinese! none of this sweet n sour chicken or general tso's stuff!
I"m talking real yummy szechuan cooking! Spicy peppercorns numbing your lips.. bok choy and fish fillets in spicy chili oil broth..mmm..Fish and cilantro spring rolls..yumm.. and it goes on.
