Nice shot Adam!! Is that a Den's pot? it matches nicely!

In addition to tea, daily - water. Occasionally juice, coffee, Milk, Diet Pepsi.

Risheehat SFTGFOP 1 Wiry from the Lochan tasting to start the day.
It was ok. No other tea yet, it is crazy busy here.

Thank you Victoria, and yes it is the Dens Shincha Kyusu, I keep going back and forth between them being different enough that its complementary blues, and thinking that they are too similar to have it look like one is trying to copy the other.

But I think having it out of focus in the background lets it blend in nicely.

Tea or water for me too. :D

Share a story about water and tea. My wife's grandma had a few small pet birds (sorry, don't know what type). One day birds broke out of bird cage and flew away. Grandma was not worried and said they would return soon. Many people had doubt. A few days later, those birds returned. People were amazed and asked grandma why. Grandma said, "they couldn't find good tea elsewhere, so they returned." Yeap, grandma drank good tea all day and fed those birds with teas, instead of water. Good tea is addictive, even for birds.

 OK, is this a yarn or reality? Should do a TD to see what people think? Seems with tea, it is so often hard to figure where myth/story telling ends and reality begins.

Tea allll day, even if I am stretching the tea leaves too far and only drinking tea water. I will drink some water, fruit juices, and dairy as well. Maybe 2 times a year I will have a soda ... which is about how often I have a craving for it.

Began the TD with a tasting of Zencha Fuji the Ultimate. Hatsumi from O-Cha. Followed by Rishi Silver Needles with DW. And currently Den's Kukicha. A great TeaDay.

Although I do have a cup of coffee here and there most of the time I am drinking tea more than any other beverage. :)

Since I gave up soda a couple months ago, water and tea are my most consumed beverages on a daily basis. But sometimes I get tired of water and don't have time for tea so I fix instant koolaid or a flavored drink (poweraid etc). I also drink some daily but mainly with cereal :P and only during extreme study sessions or finals (like tonight ) I drink an energy drink.

Think I'll go with the matcha for now...maybe it will keep me awake.

Water for me!
Once in a while a margarita, "rocks with extra salt"...love the lime and the salt!
Once in a while sweet red wine.
Mostly tea!

Today in my cup...Ceylon Vithanakande this morning. Kabusecha this afternoon. Tulsi tonight.

'Night everybody,
Dreamer

According to my mother-in-law, this was a true story. My mother-in-law made teas for grandma and used leftover tea to fill water cup in the bird cage (part of her chores), so those birds drank nothing but teas. She was amazed when those birds returned. Anyway, this was story that I was told. Maybe grandma was just lucky those birds wondered back, in stead of captured by other people/animals. Call it a family legend if you like. :D

Wonder if there was a thread on tea related myth/story. I have couple more "stories" to share.

So, the birds were having caffeine withdrawl symptoms? Or they just liked tea?

Funny story, likely borne in realiTea, and a tad embelished.

Thanks for sharing it with us.

Finishing the TD with Mugi/Genmai.

Tea and lots of water with slices of organic lemon.
Cheers.
ps - light on tea today - Wako matcha, then 2nd infusion of last nights gaiwan-left-out-but-covered of Jasmine White Peony. That's it for today (made some REALLY bad Rep of Tea white at work, but wow did it suck, didn't really drink it  )
