Congratulations to the contest winners!!! Great job! And great job Chip to have such a contest!
Nope, I don't have a favorite director. Although I must echo what Geeber said..Alfred Hitchcock was a great one...especially for his day.
I generally don't have any idea who directed any particular movie unless the director is "famous", (e.g. James Cameron of Titanic and now Avatar fame).
We've been "on break" since Christmas and DH and I (and sometimes the kids) have watched several movies at the theater and at home...
Avatar - visually awesome movie. Sadly the characters are all so very stereotyped; business people - all unethical money grabbers, military people - all blood thirsty, scientists - all altruistic.
Up In the Air - sort of only ok...seems like I missed the point.
Julie and Julia - a wonderfully pleasant movie...inspired me to make Boeuf Bourguignon on New Years Eve day.
All About Steve - minorly funny
Die Hard - a "Christmas" favorite watched for the nth time
Die Hard 2 - another good "Christmas" movie
Home Alone - those guys get what they deserve!
The Jerk - so many great lines in this movie!!!
Today's tea...ToT's Neela...I'm the only one in the family who really likes this tea, so I've been enjoying multiple steeps of a big pot all day.
Back to work tomorrow...have to get up HOURS earlier than we have been...that's gonna hurt and will require strong hot tea!
Make it great,

Re: Sunday TeaDay 1/03/09
I'm not that picky about films. So I guess I only know the Big names. That others tell me about.

It's not so much that I have favorite directors as it is that I have least favorite directors. I'm pretty equal opportunity there. I just know what I don't like.
