I absolutely do this from time to time! I enjoy allowing my tea to take me to someplace else. :-)

This morning I have ranged from Adagio's Grapefruit Oolong, to Flavia's Earl Grey to an imported Ujinotsuyu Genmaicha.

So, does your cup of tea transport you to a state of mind as you drink?
I guess I am too pragmatic to experience such a "transport".

Kaboku sencha this evening.

Yep, right now I'm in a green state of mind

Here's why:

These sweet little glass cups with lots of embedded bubbles are perfect for a winter afternoon when the sun cuts in the room at such a low angle.

Peace Out,
Dreamer

Thanks for the color, Dreamer!!!

I would say yes, could not really say though because it differs all the time. Perhaps as Cyn said!

Began the TD with a tasting of Zencha Fuga LE. Joined by SweeTea while Gandalf observed today.

Next up, a tasting of Zencha Fuji SP. and to end the TD a tasting of Zencha the Ultimate.

Yay! I actually said something useful that resulted in a TeaDay topic! Thanks, Chip!

Obviously, per my post yesterday, my answer is yes. Tea is one of my favorite ways of escaping and relaxing. Sometimes, it helps me focus on actual tasks, but more often than not, it is a way for me to unfocus, unwind and let my mind wander to where ever it wants to go.

I am enjoying a very pleasant cup of Blood Orange Rooibos, one of my favorite ways to end the day.

Absolutly!

I think its more of a state of mind than a place most of the time but if its possible I am in a relaxed state when drinking my tea.

I'd say yes, tea transports me - and I would add especially if I want it to/let it/am mindful.
Also, particularly if the taste of the tea and the smell of the tea are wonderful in a moment, I am transported, if only to a more sensual state of mind.

organic sencha kagoshima saemidori in my cup all day (after my den's organic matcha) - and I've got my alchemical mixture of chamomile-calendula-lavender a'brew now, I await its sweet caress.

cheers.
