Re: Monday Teaday 2.08/10 How many different teas on a typical o
Usually two types a day; almost always a black of some kind in the morning. I become more adverturesome in the afternoon now that I'm on TeaChat and have several samples of greens, oolongs, and a pu erh.
Re: Monday Teaday 2.08/10 How many different teas on a typical o
I voted two: I usually have a cup of something strong in the morning (mostly a Darjeeling, or Assam), and a cup in the afternoon. My afternoon tea used to be gong fu sessions with multiple oolongs, but since the birth of my son (who's a week old today!), it's usually a houjicha, or a green...
Organic East India blend in my cup.

Congratulations on the birth of your son!teashionista wrote:but since the birth of my son (who's a week old today!), it's usually a houjicha, or a green...
I normally have 3, but occasionally enjoy 4 when spending time at home w/Chip and not at work!
Yeah, the computer at work is finally up and running after weeks of NO TC!
Have a TEArrific TeaDay everyone.
Re: Monday Teaday 2.08/10 How many different teas on a typical o
Typically 2. One at home and one at work. Though sometimes I will do one before work, one at work, and a third after work.
Today: started out with oriental spice and now back on to my work stash of lychee white.

Most often 3.
Matcha 1st, then sencha or gyo or a white.
Then either a tisane or a white or a puerh.
Just about to have my 1st tea of the day. Matcha I think.

I almost forgot how impressive your daily variety can be!olivierco wrote:Usually three teas the days I work, up to six or seven during holidays.
I shoot for 3 true teas per day, but that has not been quite the norm lately it seems. I go a bit crazzzzy if I only manage one, so I definitely make every attempt for 2 actual teas, then likely some low or no caffeine "tea" in the evening. So I said 3. And on a good day, though rare as of late.
A few years ago, it was 3-5 true teas virtually every day ...
Began the TD with Adagio Sencha. Next up, Dongshan Dolce from Adagio with Mrs. Chip, pretty good green tea from Adagio!
Maybe a third true tea yet today!
Re: Monday Teaday 2.08/10 How many different teas on a typical o
Both were very tasty and the Dongshan Dolce was delish and quite easy to brew.Chip wrote:

Hopefully next, matcha?

Re: Monday Teaday 2.08/10 How many different teas on a typical o
On a typical day I'd say between 4 and 6 teas. However, some days will see up to 11 or more. It all depends on what I'm drinking and whether the teas in question are for my review blog or simply for enjoyment.
Today I started out with an Earl Grey from Andrews & Dunham Damn Fine Tea http://www.damnfinetea.com, and am currently drinking a Wenshan Baozhong from Harney & Sons.

One. I try to limit it to one unless I include an herbal in the evening. I resteep all day (good tea is important!) so that I hopefully diminish my caffeine intake this way. That's the theory anyway
Today, Golden Yunnan. I've kept this for a year. I don't understand how it has so much more body to it than before. It doesn't make sense. A very rich tea.

Re: Monday Teaday 2.08/10 How many different teas on a typical o
This is a rather interesting topic, because back when I western brewed, I could easily get in 4-6 different teas in a day. But now I dedicate much more time to tea, but in the sense that I'm doing sessions lasting 1-3 hours a piece, Its often one or two teas in a day.
So while varietea has decreased, the over all sateasfaction has increased.

On average I drink 1 kind of tea a day with 2-3 cups/sessions a day.
No tea yet today.

It really widely varies for me. While I generally have two or three different teas on a normal day, when I'm working late nights it's not uncommon for me to go through six or seven. Sometimes even more if I'm trying not to snack on junk food.
Trying out Green Pekoe this afternoon. Quite mellow.

One or two is normal.
Sometimes none, sometimes three or four.

Congratulations Teashionista!
I might have two during the day - one at home and another at work. On weekends I might get wild and have three.
Nilgiri Nonsuch at home today. No tea at work so I'm looking forward to getting home and having a cup.
