Re: Thursday TeaDay 2/11/10 Teapot Activity?
Four for me. At work I use my ceramic houhin for everything, and at home I use a clay gaiwan (for pu-erhs and heavy roasted oolongs), a kyusu (for Japanese greens) and my mini yixing (for unroasted oolongs).

5 for me. I use my large gaiwan for probably 80% of my brewing. I also use a smaller gaiwan, med teapot, cup infuser, and paper filters atleast once a week. As i get better with the gaiwan, i use the others less and less. Cup infuser and paper filters are only used at work, as soon as i get a gaiwan for work, plan to cut back on using them.
Starting the day with white peony.

I would say that I use 3 brewing vessels mainly.
I have my trusty gaiwan, a proper English teapot, and my Chinese tea thermos that I use at work.
Sometimes I use my yixing bat teapot for some pu. Usually I brew pu erh in a gaiwan though.

I'm rocking 1 gaiwan, 1 yixing for heavily roasted TGY, 1 kyusu, and 1 small korean teapot mainly. Smattering of other pieces not in heavy rotation. Having a competition grade TGY from the Chicago Tea Garden this morning.

Maybe four or five in a week.
Two of the gaiwans are used frequently. Little kyusu at least once a week and one or two yixing a week.
*edited as I must have been teadrunk when I posted*

The limit is the amount of pics you can upload to the board me thinks.
If you link to the pics from a photobucket, picasa, imageshack, etc account you can wallpaper the place in pictures.
Paste in the image location to your post, highlight it and click the Img tag above the post.

Re: Thursday TeaDay 2/11/10 Teapot Activity?
There are 5 on average that I use virtually every week, they all happen to be kyusu-s. So, Chawan, Gaiwan, etc did not make the list for this criteria.
Began the TD with Sencha of course. Yutaka Midori from O-Cha brewed in a Momiji Kyusu that sees a lot of action. SweeTea was front and center for the tasting while Lili and Pyrit just stopped by the TeaTable.
Next up, a tasting of Zencha Fuga LE, in another Momiji Kyusu which also sees plenty of action.

7-12 ish a week
In the middle of learning how a teas taste will change with different brewing vessels/cups so I use between 4-5 different brewing vessels a day

Chip:
May I ask, roughly, what proportion of the tea you drink is Japanese green?

Re: Thursday TeaDay 2/11/10 Teapot Activity?
Proinsias, I would say generally 75% Japanese green or more...
Re: Thursday TeaDay 2/11/10 Teapot Activity?
There are 8 vessels sitting on my table right at the moment, so I went with that. I am sure it is higher.
