Adam, looks like you have HTAD really bad, I think it is almost epidemic here at TC!(At least w/ a few of us.)

Another nice shot, thanks. Looks delightful.

Up next for me, Yunnan Noir ala Adagio.

Shincha? Definitely!

I'm down to 211 grams of sencha and 400 grams of gyokuro and 36 grams of matcha, so I have enough Japanese green to last until shincha arrives.

Work has kept me too busy to check in with TeaChat over the winter, so it's quite a coincidence that shincha came up today when I did get to check in.

Ok, so i wasnt quite sure how to answer this question so i said maybe. I am not really into japanese greens, i recieved my dens sample pack and havent been all that impressed so far, pretty much given up on the sencha, I have enough for one more cup, but im not sure it will be worth the trouble. The genmaicha is so so. I do however like white tea and chinese greens. I am lookingforward to new harvests of these being available so i can taste "fresh" tea. have only been drinking tea seriously for 2-3 months so most of the stuff i have tasted is close to a year old (maybe older).

Started out with white peony, having snow dragon right now. I hope my shipment from norbu gets here tomorrow, i am looking forward to trying my first oolong.

Shincha has entered my vocabulary, but only as an object of tealust... :) I have so many teas and not a ton of money (yay, college budget  ), so I'm limited to looking and not buying.

Right now, I'm drinking a couple cups of pre-dinner pu-erh. I'll probably follow up with some jasmine green tea or genmaicha later.

Remember, the question is shincha, but also NEW HARVEST which can be virtually and new harvest tea of course, including FF Darjeeling, Spring Oolong, etc.

Absolutely YES. And have been for a month or two or more even. I am realllly low on Japanese greens, too low!!! I will run out too soon unless I fill the gap. However I have been hitting other teas that have been patiently awaiting hot water.

Began the TD with the same 2009 shincha with Mrs. Chip. Next up, an even older sencha from 2008 harvest. Yeah, beginning to get a bit desperate.

New Harvest has entered my vocabulary in the last couple of months. Shincha is new to me today.

Silk Road Teas Red Peach and Golden Monkey today.

Barclay, the new dog, screamed for two hours last night before he went to sleep. He was in the crate right next to me level with my head. My ears hurt today! But he's a cutey. :)

Oh Yea!

Ive been thinking about 2010 spring since last spring
I buy 99% of my tea in the spring and store for the whole year so its a huge deal for me and this year I plan on trying matcha for the first time.

Would be nice if someone would start posting how to pronounce these Asian names of teas. eg: puerh pu-er

I hear different ways of doing it.

I horribly mispronounced gyokuro for around 9 years til I finally heard it pronounced for the first time in Ippodo's gyo video.

I believe we started a topic on this a while ago. Needs a revival.
