Seafood is my favorite food but I don't know if I can call it a passion. I can't really cook anything, maybe I should work on that

I think tea is the only food/drink I can call a passion.

Wuyi fo shou in my cup today and wow it really hit the spot today.

Good to see some cooks out there! Like tea where I enjoy brewing as much as drinking ... I think I love to cook almost as much as I do love eating, and I DO love to eat.

I love seafood, dark chocolate, many ethnic cuisines especially Asian ... Japanese and cajun, so of course sushi/sashimi, fruits, cheese ... well, just about anything!

Although I do not "drink" I do a lot of cooking with wine, bourbon, etc.

Perhaps my fave food is the sea scallop ... yum!

Hummm food passions - not sure I have any real definite passions, nothing like for tea anyway. I do enjoy fine dining. I like cheese tasting, and as of late have developed an interest in Ice Wine.

Started the day with my last LiShan from Floating Leaves Tea.

Nothing really comes close to tea, except for possibly Scotch, although it's not really something I can indulge every day. Wine, yes, we're in "little" wine country here in NW Oregon. Cheeses... gourmet cooking, enough to watch the Saturday cooking shows, read foodie blogs, etc.

But really, nothing comes close to tea for me.

New tea "helper" around these days.

This is Mr. "Questionable DNA," or QD for short. He loves tea, especially when it is accompanied by a pork chop and a spot of jam.

(Bowl from Elm Studios, of course, and chai tea from Tea Chai Te here in Portland.)

Chocolate, cheese, fruits, bread, tea, beans: these are things I seek out when I travel--new and different or traditional and comforting.

It's a tossup whether I am more obsessed with chocolate or tea, but food and cooking in general, and baking in particular, especially with fresh-milled flour and spices, definitely came first.

I absolutely love chocolate (especially tea-infused chocolate, heh), Japanese food in general (both cooking and eating it), fresh, dried, or steamed fruits and vegetables, and snacks like granola or jelly beans (that was my "other"). I love cooking, too, but often I get so tired of what I'm making by the time it's done that I don't want to eat it, especially if I'm baking.

Right now I'm drinking pu-erh with chrysanthemum, to be followed by some Assam with rose petals and white or ginger tea (depending upon whether or not the girlfriend still has sinus issues).

Thank you Geek for adding color to our TD.

Began the TD with just about the last of the better Sencha reserves! :( :| Next up, shared a Matcha tasting with Mrs. Chip.

And lastly, the back up go to ... Korean Gamnong from Hankook. I am quite liking this semi steamed Korean green ... served up in another Korean Travel Set ... this would make an interesting alternative Gong Fu set. Just some phone shots ...

This set in reality is ideal for serving 2 ounces making it great for when my normal steep sizes is going to be too much, like early evening.

I am wondering when the new TC celeb spokesperson is going to leave ... I am starting to wonder!

Looks absolutely delicious! I had a baked sweet potato earlier, but I didn't take pictures.

Looks yummy!

I have been trying to eat more healthily so have been cutting back on the cheese, red meat, processed foods, and have been trying to avoid high-fructose corn syrup and white sugar. It's amazing how many food products have that stuff in them! I was most surprised by yogurt.

Today's tea selections were Nilgiri Glendale in the morning and a couple of glasses of iced Nilgiri Tiger Hill during the day.

Yes most yogurts can be deceiving. The best bet for yogurt imo is "lowfat" because if its labeled "no fat" then the company normally adds extra ingredients to made up for the fat/flavor loss. But hey when your looking for an ice cream experience, yogurt cheese is still way better than heavy cream.

finishing the night off with some organic gyokuro

The past few years have been spent learning about wine. Really should get into the whole cheese thing as I am in Wisconsin. Sushi is getting there for me but there isn't a whole of great sushi places around here.

Beer and spirits for sure. Spent a lot of years homebrewing, but haven't done it for a while now. I've had a terrible addiction to single malt scotch since I picked up my first bottle of Laphroaig at Trader Joe's many years ago. And recently started getting into absinthe, absolutely delicious (if you like anise) and a fascinating history.
