Artificially flavored? No. Icky. Upsets my stomach as well. *Casts angry eyes at Teavanna* Blended with the real stuff, absolutely. I've had some great peppermint and almond ones, along with a few chais.

This morning and afternoon were my obligatory English Breakfast. This afternoon may just be some chamomile lavender tisane, since I found the youngest one taking paint off the wall. :x Mommy needs a time out.

Only natural floral enhancements, such as Jasmine or Osmanthus. I also will add some dried mint, peppermint or spearmint, to a green tea. Other than that, I dislike flavors in tea as I do in coffee.

OK, I read the official paper that came with these samples that contains information about each one (nice), and nowhere does it say "zip it." So, unzipped. I will spill in dribs and drabs.

I sampled the "M"version (I will keep the line up's name a secret for now) of Ali Shan. I would say most Taiwan enthusiasts would prefer this version to the other Ali Shan. I find the aroma more "realistic." It is quite nice in every aspect, though I am only on steep #2 so far.

FYI, these new teas "debut" officially on 4/10. And I will only give updates here in TD ...

Rub it in why don't ya...

As far as flavors, I may drink some jasmine from time to time...

If genmaicha is considered flavoring then I drink flavored almost every day.

In my cup: Uji Sencha Miyabi

Only a few. The good ones tend to be good and the rest are awful.

My afternoon tea was a medium roast TKY from a local Chinese Restaurant.
It was ok, but the sautéed shrimp was stellar.

Flavored teas are the devil

I tried them and don't like them. Tea is good and raspberries are good and when you mix the two you get CRAP. It doesn't seem to make sense but something about fruits after they are put in hot/boiling water just changes the taste too much for me. Sorry Im a little biased if you can't tell.

Long jing in my cup today

This is an appropriate time to recall Space Samurai's remembrance of George Carlin and his discussion of fruit-flavored tea. Here it is, http://anotherteablog.blogspot.com/2008 ... d-tea.html

Finished a bag of Tea Gallery's Classic Roast TGY with breakfast, and enjoyed Zencha's Ultimate Sencha with lunch.

Looking forward to these!! Though I got a sample of one, I believe, for being a part of the St. Patty's day Signature Blend review... It was very good, but wouldn't be my first choice of teas.

Anyway, Darjeeling this morning, gunpowder this afternoon at work, and some Fukamushi with dinner.

Which one?

At 5th steep of this Ali Shan, it is holding up quite nicely. I definitely think this is a step up from their standard Ali Shan.

Jasmine pearls. Jasmine's just not my favorite, I've discovered, although I did put a few pearls in an oolong I brewed up the other day, and it made a nice addition. I'm definitely glad I got to try it, because it's not really something I would have bought for myself to try.

I took a whiff of those, pretty potent for jasmine pearls. I would think go easy on them.

Also, who else thinks that a hojicha or genmai would be considered a flavored tea?

Just finished off my last bit of ceylon sonata. Thinking about waiting a little while to order some from adagio to see if it comes in one of the new packages :D.
Why would Hojicha be considered flavored? and if you consider genmaicha then I guess I occasionally drink flavored teas. Oh, and I do like ginseng oolong on rare occasions.
