Yep, yep. I have to force myself to drink something else, really. I enjoy almost anything, but I got the craves for greens, reallllly bad, man!JBaymore wrote:Incessant imbibing!
So, at least 3 out every 4 teas I drink are green.
Began the TD with mystery sencha from O-Cha along with SweeTea while Pyrit and Gandalf hung out at the TeaTable ... waiting for shincha!

I have never met a green tea yet that I liked!!!
However, I marked Other because I plan to keep trying them. Hoping when GD returns from 2 years in Japan, she'll be able to teach me the trick of brewing. I'm sure that I'll find one or two that I'll like at some point; and I will learn how to brew them.

I like good green; but not all green is good.
The green kukicha I'm drinking now is really, really good. Gives me a zing. Very green, very bright, astringent and citrusy. It definitely works on my brain as well, makes me really sharp and focused.

I thought my consumption was equal between Japanese Green and Oolong, but that doesn't appear to be the case. So far this year I have consumed 663 grams of Chinese Oolong but 952 grams of Japanese greens. Hmmm...
Finished the last of my Shui Jin Gui from Hou de this morning. BTW, that has become a new favorite Cliff Tea.

I really like green tea. Everyday its a hard decision between green and oolong with some others thrown between. Currently long jing is my favorite green with Jiu Hua fo cha right behind then a roasted bancha in third.

I very rarely drink green tea. I think it's just a matter of finding the ones I really like.
ToT Mao Feng Noir in my cup this morning, followed by Tippy Black Cloud (Yunnan), also from ToT.

I have Green tea occasionally - usually matcha on the weekends.
Started this morning with Adagio AliShan from the Maestro Collection.
Pretty good stuff!

I only rarely drink green tea...I´m just not very animated to buy it for some reason....most of my tea budget goes to oolongs. Usually if I´m in the mood for "green" I go for a green style oolong rather than actual green tea...

Am sipping a cup of Yunnan Golden Curls from the new Adagio Maestro Collection. An interesting tea. I think I steeped it a little more than I will next time; I didn't want to have too weak a cup and I left it a bit longer than perhaps I should have--a full 5 minutes.
Not much aroma from the leaves before steeping--but it's smooth on the tongue and is not very astringent. without being too bland.

I love green teas, whether they're from China, Japan, or elsewhere, and drink them almost every day (generally 5 or 6 days out of the week). My favorites are Bi Lo Chun, Long Jing, sencha with rose or jasmine, genmaicha, and kukicha; I also look very forward to trying gyokuro one day.
Artmom, thank you for always talking about how wonderful Mariage Freres is-- I checked out the website and am definitely ordering some tea from there! (Especially the sakura green tea... I'm so excited for it!
)
Pu-erh with magnolia right now, probably to be followed by some genmaicha or jasmine sencha later. Yummm. ^_^

More green ... Korean mystery green from Hankook. Finished this one off today. But it came out quite good!
And now sipping the new Sakura Sencha from O-Cha. This is more sublime than any other sakura I ever had, not cherry flavoring. The cherry scent is from Sakura leaves which only impart aroma, not really flavor. The result is outstanding.Skippyan... wrote: Artmom, thank you for always talking about how wonderful Mariage Freres is-- I checked out the website and am definitely ordering some tea from there! My package from Adagio with the Maestro Oolongs should be on my doorstep when I get home tonight! It’s going to be hard to keep with my no caffeine at night rule and not try one of them out!Victoria wrote:I have Green tea occasionally - usually matcha on the weekends.

Well, I don't drink anything every day, but I probably have at least 3-4 pots of gyokuro a week. It is one of my favorites for many reasons, including history, processing method, flavor, health benefits, etc. Excited to try Yuuki Gokou next week
