Speaking of which... I have a very large bag full of puerh samples from various recent purchases. All well marked and labeled, of course, but soooo many of them, I don't know that I'll ever get around to buying a whole bing, much less a tong or more. If I drink one session of puerh every day, it would take me about 2 months to use up all of this stuff! Heh.

I guess I better get to it! Most often, I drink it at my office. The super short steeps make it easy to do when I'm dashing between tasks or clients. I'm so much less likely to forget I'm brewing and ruin my tea. Also, I keep little tasting cups on my tea tray, so that any client who happens to be there when I'm brewing can have a small cup of whatever I'm drinking. Most of the time, it's some kind of tea they've never tried. :) Half a dozen people have tasted puerh this way, and everyone has said they liked it. Maybe they were being polite. But it IS very GOOD puerh.

Pu-erh, I have it occasionally. I like it when I do, it is really so different. I am far from an expert, and tbh I am more than a bit intimidated by it. So much to know before you buy, and the "wait 10 years" to see if you have a good one??? And the fakes??? Like so many teas, Pu-erh has its own vocab.

Well, several years ago, I almost jumped head first into it, and almost bought a bunch from a pretty reputable seller of greens, TeaSpring. I am glad I did not since I really knew nothing and there are likely better places to buy Pu-erh.

So, I try to keep Pu-erh simple for now and just enjoy it once a week +/-.

Began the Td with Mystery Sencha from O-Cha w/ Mrs Chip, glad I have this, but cannot wait for Shincha!

+1, since Chip does the brewing ... :)

Seriously, when I have it, I do enjoy it, especially the more earthy aroma while brewing. Nice tea for a change of pace at our house.

Currently some home-roasted genmaicha in my cup at work.

Have a wonderful TeaDay everyone.

Puer! Who has puer everyday? That would be like drinking a bottle of wine everyday...it may not taste bad, but there is such a thing as too much of a good thing. Just my opinion, I think that there should have been a "I drink puer seasonally and on occasion, as it was meant to be drunk!" option in the poll (^^). I have boxes of puer, and drink the greens every so often to see how they are progressing, the cooked when I am feeling a chill (psychological or otherwise) or having a sweet and the aged when it is really cold or I am just in the mood for bliss. It is a beautiful day today! No puer, I think :)

Enjoying some 08Sp alishan at the moment. Ahhhh.....

Have not had a chance to try Pu-erh yet. Still so many new things to try - ill get to it someday!

Started today with Ali Shan, then Hojicha. Think I hear some Sencha calling me this afternoon.

I love puerh, but lately only have it occasionally.
Interestingly, despite it's healing and tonifying properties, it can be drying for me.
Love both shu and sheng, loose or cake.
I have a small collection, and many yixing pots as well.
I really treasure it when I drink it.
I used to drink it daily. :D
Now more like monthly. :(

I absolutely love pu-erh-- it ties with green tea as my favorite type of tea. My first taste of pu-erh was from a tea bag, and I have since bought a bunch of looseleaf (it's cheap and probably no comparison to the really rare stuff, but it's yummy regardless) and a brick from which I break a little off if I feel a need to spoil myself...

No pu-erh for once-- currently drinking some rose congou which I no longer need to "ration" since I got more over the weekend. (Yay!) I'll probably drink some magnolia pu-erh later, though.

I went through a phase of drinking it everyday, but now it's more like once every few days. I have quite alot of young sheng samples knocking about and a couple of 2009 Menghai Dayi 7542s that I'm currently ageing.

I've never had any really good "aged stuff" apart from a few nice samples of early 2000s stuff, so that's definitely an area I'd like to explore further.

Tea for me today was 2 cups of homemade masala chai, some Yunnan Bao Hong green tea (glass brewed) and some un-roasted TGY brewed western style. All in all a pretty good tea day!

Jack :D

... next up, some Maestro Pouchong. This is also very enjoyable, perhaps 3rd fave of the series so far.

Followed up by Sakura Sencha from O-Cha ... shuweet.

I think it is too late for to start a pu-erh, but that is what tomorrows are for.

No pu-erh here, haven't tried, no real interest at the moment - so many other things on the list, and it (to be perfectly honest) isn't very high on the list. I'll get around to it eventually, I'm sure.

Gunpowder this morning, Caramel Delight in the afternoon, and sencha extra green with dinner!

I've tried only one kind, a nondescript packet of loose leaf pu-erh that was a gift from a friend. But two weeks ago I got curious/crazy and bought me some Xia Guan tuos. Hope it works out!

Brewed a big lot of Adagio peach oolong today, and served it iced and sugared to the family. We're having it with pizza for dinner. :P

Never tried Puerh but would like to. First I would have to do my research and make sure that I'm getting a good one to try. Maybe a small toucha.
