Shock, tea is winning by a landslide, who would have predicted that ... on a tea forum?

TEA as well, hands down, no brainer.
Began the TD with Kame Gyokuro from O-Cha brewed in a Bizen Houjin and served in Kashun Guinomi. Sweet ... and SweeTea was front and center while Lili and Kati visited the TeaTable.
Up next ... I will
try and be spontaneous.

I like the water option, but I think on a good day, and I mean a day that I really like and have the time for tea I want, I probably drink more tea than water, so that is out. And while I do enjoy alcoholic beverages after the last tea of the day, Tea definitely holds my focus as reigning supreme.
Its turning out to be a Great Day... Shincha in my cup... its wonderful!

Tea is my passion; water is my necessity, and while it is more than simply a vehicle for making tea, it does not inspire any passion, unless I run out towards the end of a long hot hike.

1st: nice new avie!
2nd: I just made my first cup of MF Marco Polo, so I thought I'd share. Due to your praising posts, I figured I'd try it. I think I steeped it a little long for me, it's a bit bitter. Next time I'll try 3 minutes instead of 4. Aside from that, the flavor is wonderful - I'm glad I got it!!

Oh, yes,
Laura, I steep it to 3 or 4 minutes -- not to the five. You'll find you can get a couple of steeps that are good. I've never found it bitter; very smooth.

Enjoy!

Can you describe how the Bizen houhin affects the taste and scent of the tea? I am amazed at the way that a vessel can transform a tea.

Tea is numba 1!
I drink about everything on the list except alcoholic drinks and lots and lots of water but tea is the only thing I would call a passion.

Hmm, I can tell you that the Kame was wonderful in aroma and taste, but it was as well a few days ago in an old hagi Houjin.
Kame is just really good, period. I would have to do some side by side tasting, etc.
Now with a much lesser gyokuro, I did notice that it seemed to smooth out the roughness compared to when brewed in the same Hagi.
Unfortunately, I can not fully answer ... more gyo and time needed. Unfortunately it is shincha time ...

It was just a hint of bitter on the aftertaste at just over 4 minutes, but not bad at all - I still got a lot of the flavor. And the second steep was great!! So 3 minutes should be perfect, but it normally takes a couple times on a brand new tea to figure it out, so I figure I'm doing pretty well

. I have a feeling I'm really going to enjoy the entire tin. And then I have a great tin!

I definitely drink more tea than anything else, whether hot or iced. Water and coffee come in a distant second (except when I'm at home, then I drink more coffee than water-- the coffee at my college is naaaaasty

). I no longer drink juice or soda, and only drank alcohol once (and have no intentions of doing it again, ever).
Started out with two cups of looseleaf pu-erh, currently drinking some longjing with the girlfriend.

Milk, actually. I drink ridiculous amounts of it on a daily basis. I'm not sure if it's going to kill me eventually or not, but at least I will have strong bones.

Maestro TKY brewed in a gifted gaiwan ... or was the brewer gifted at pouring from the gaiwan. Well, not a drop was lost in umpteen steeps.
Followed by Matcha in a Cory Lum Chawan with Mrs. Chip.
Revisting the TKY from earlier and it sprang back to life.
Great TD!
