Remember, you can add votes throughout the day as your teapot changes, etc.
Thanks for sharing Seeker! Nice Banko!
Began the TD with a simple and inexpensive Tokoname Kyusu with a Momiji motif.
Brewed in the kyusu, first tasting of this year's Sae Midori shincha from O-Cha ... served in a Seigan Sansai Hagi Wan. SweeTea enjoyed the new shincha while Pyrit and Lili visited the TeaTable.

I am returned from my wedding and Hawaiian honeymoon.
Here are a couple of shots of the banko pot I took with us (sencha every morning!

Just gettin' out o' bed, matcha soon, then some gyo I think.
A hearty hello to you all, and cheers!
Congratulations! It sounds like you had a wonderful time.
Just finished having some Lao Shan Green in two glass pitchers.
Moving on to Infinitea's Organic Rembeng Assam in a red Tetsubin; sitting in the window of Infinitea's new Minneapolis/Hennepin Ave. location and working on editing the newest YouTube installment of the Verdant Tea Culture Series.

First up this morning was some CranApple (creative name, I know) in my IngenuiTea. Enjoying a lazy Sunday, and thinking about heading down to the Greek festival in town.

I alternate between two cheap kyusu from Den's, and a Koryo cup.
I finally finished some revisions for my thesis, so I'm about to go relax with some White Peony.

Welcome back,
Seeker!
Second, third, fourth cups of the day - 2007 Spring Formosa "Fo Shou" (Budda's Hand) Oolong (gift from Victoria

) steeped in Sakura kyusu from Den's Teas.

The cups used for the tasting were a porcelain cup (from Adagio, I think - CRS) and a pottery cup. The paperweight next to ithe porcelain one is Japanese, gifted to me by my "Japanese son" 33 years ago. He said he used it to hold his paper when he was practicing his calligraphy.

Next post will show the pottery cup.

Also used for the oolong from Victoria (see above post):
A Sterling vitrified china fruit cup made in East Liverpool, Ohio between 1900 and 1902 -- usually used in hotels, on trains, etc. I've always felt the shape was Asian and kept it after my MIL died. She bought it for 25 cents at an antique/collectibles store about 50 years ago! It's only worth is sentimental and it makes a great cup for oolongs, but doesn't work for black teas.

Wow Artmom look at you!! I'm impressed!
That is one sweet little cup. Sometimes it's
the little sentimental cup that steals the show.
Very sweet.
Adagio Masters AliShan for me this afternoon.
Brewed in a porcelain pot.

Started the morning with a little shincha in my Den's kyusu, had a few cups before any of the rest of the family were up. Later we got into the silver needle from the Adagio white tea sampler. First time I've had white tea, we brewed it in a glass pot that my son received as a b-day gift a few years back from a friend. I saw all sorts of recommendations for brewing white tea -- short steeps, long steeps, cooler water, hotter water -- I brewed it like I've brewed Chinese greens that I've been happy with, shorter steeps and 170-ish water. I thought it came out pretty nice, the aroma was VERY flowery, the flavor lightly sweet and a bit fruity. Looking forward to working through the rest of the sampler, but it'll probably be slow going, as it's back to the shincha tomorrow morning!

I really enjoy the snowbud - it's definitely become my favorite white. Speaking of, I think I'll take some to work tomorrow... no more tea for me today, had some wine with/after dinner instead of tea.
