You're storing up life experiences for your muse to call upon when you next have the opportunity.

Growing up, my mom called me Geeber (and still does), which she said was a character on a TV show she watched when she was little (Howdy Doody maybe?). After I signed up here, I found out that there is a drug reference, but it's too late, I've been Geeber for a long time!

No tea yet this morning.

Yes, debunix, I keep telling myself that! :) In fact, I feel the muse's presence moving closer when I look at all the lovely teaware on TeaChat. If I can get the energy level up and get my muse within catching distance, I'd like to try painting some of the Eastern-style teaware!

"Verdanttea" is taken from Verdant Tea Group, the no-nonsense group I created which is devoted to promoting tea as a taste, an experience, and a way of life. To that end, I've created a website, a tea blog, tea photo albums, and the YouTube Verdant Tea Culture Series (webisodes on various tea-related subjects). The group also offers educational tea tastings and classes around the Minneapolis-St.Paul metropolitan area of Minnesota.

Started the morning with a comparative tasting between Rishi's Matcha and Sencha powders. The clear winner was definitely the Matcha, and it was also an excellent opportunity to try our our new chawan and whisk. I'm now sipping on some Formosa Taifu Oolong in the comfy chairs at Infinitea Teahouse.

Geekgirl - I have been using this (or some variation of it,) since I first went online. It actually started as early as maybe the 6th grade? (which would have been around 1982?) because the kids used to call me names - Geek, geekgirl, nerdgirl, and Walking Dictionary, among a few of them (yeah, I've always been nerdy.) I kind of liked "geekgirl" and appropriated it to use in reference to myself ever since.

Funny sidepoint (or not so funny,) there is currently some squall in AU about trademarking "geekgirl," and along with it, the hashtag #geekgirl (A woman named Cross trademarked it in 1995, but the TM has been challenged earlier this year.) Somehow this has bled over onto twitter, and dozens of people have sent me hate messages (I am @geekgirl) about trying to "lock up" the terminology. Um yeah, right. There are literally MILLIONS of usages online and wherever, so I suppose that would be impossibly hard to protect.

laura99 - just my real first name. I tack on 99 by default when creating user id's to keep from the frusting 'username already exists'.

Tried a sample of a pressed Yunnan tea from Uptons that was interesting - and then Adagio Masters TKY.

My teachat name is actually a sideways reference to tea. I had been away from tea for a while and came back via matcha. Matcha makes me feel as if anything is possible...dreamy. So that's how I came up with Dreamer.

Today is warm, ok actually HOT, here and I'm totally enjoying my 2nd glass of iced Assam!

Have a great day all,
Dreamer

Chip ... all the good chips ... like chocolate, potato ... well, maybe not.

I was told I was a chip off the old block, of my father I assume since we share given names. As a kid that was a lot to try and understand and preferred Chocolate Chips as the reason.

Anyway, the name stuck and despite battling with continuing its use as an adult, I ended up sticking with it.

Began the TD with Asatsuya from Yuuki-Cha followed by Sae Midori from O-Cha ... both shinCHAAA of course.

One of these will be in the OTTI Round 1 which will be posted Monday @ 9 pm Eastern time.

I assumed it was from "Chip", the name of the teacup in Disney's Beauty and the Beast.

Just got up. Considering Matcha, or a nice Yixing Hong Cha.

So today's been a lazy TeaDay... Had some Snowbud while making bread earlier, and some CranApple shortly after dinner, while making pound cake. All tea and baked goods came out quite tasty!

My name was the name of a character I was writing for a while.

I have had a very short tea day. I've only had some FooJoy Tippy Green Before the Rain this morning.

I have a few monikers I use on forums, but they didn't seem to apply here. Drinking tea is a time where I am just me, so I made a login that is just me. Aya is my name, and S is my last initial, in the event there were other Ayas about in the forum. :)

"Karma Place" is the title of a song sung by a little-known disbanded Japanese rock band I discovered by accident called Shocking Lemon. I like the song and like the song title even better. :)

Entropyembrace means to me accepting the eventual decay of everything in the universe...a nihilistic name from my teenage years xD It was a way of hiding my identity back when using your real name online was considered a bad idea...a concept that seems out of fashion now.
