Pretty much a road show day that began as we drove away and realized our house keys were in the house, something to look forward to upon returning.

So, work day picnic at MIL's, and the food person forgot the food, then MIL had no bottled water which she normally does since she has the worst water on the planet.

Still managed a surprising good session of Master's TKY, everyone enjoyed the aroma, but were not too keen on drinking it.

Good news, the tornado watch was a fizzle, but the front brought in a beautiful refreshing COOL and dry breeze.

It was a perfect day for drinking tea here-- pouring and cold all day-- but for some reason, little things kept getting in the way of having a tea session. As a result, the jasmine sencha I'm drinking now is the first tea I've had since early this afternoon... Oh well, it's yummy enough to make up for everything.

Very good and a 7 for me. I used to measure using a teaspoon and eyeballed how much water I was using, but decided to compare my teaspoon method with what I got using a scale. I discovered that I was really under-measuring my leaf.

I don't want to offend any non-scalers, but I'm getting much more consistent results using my scale and measuring my water.

"Eyeballing" was giving me usually good, but sometimes 'bleh' tea, measuring is giving me great tea. :)

So, broke in, got stung, accidently broke a window ... but this TKY that has traveled many miles today is still wonderful!

Broke a window & got stung?? Hope everything ended up alright.

My TeaDays over the last month have been wonderful. I am home from University now which means very low stress & lots of time! :D This makes for great tea sessions, as my mind is quite clear and focused.

Today I had some '07 Golden Needle White Lotus shupu. One of my currently faves. Rich, creamy, mouthwatering... delicious!

All is well that ends well, had good tea to celebrate the successful "break in."
