I use aroma cups when I brew oolong. I find oolong to have the most pleasant scent, especially Tie Guan Yin. But I only use them when I pour the first cup of tea. I pour tea into the aroma cup, put the matching teacup over it, flip, pull the aroma cup off, smell, drink, enjoy. Then I use a seperate larger teacup to drink the rest of the tea. I just repeat the process for every steep after.
I should probably try it with pu-erh too.
