Never thought I would delve into such a world of tea, mostly because I had no idea that it was out there. Iced tea came in the form of Liptons. Celestial Seasonings was the good stuff. I didn't know there was anything beyond that.

In today's cup has been Earl Grey and a chamomile lavender tisane because I woke up really sick. Apparently, too much sun and not enough water is not a good combination.

The Adagio Shincha arrived today! Trying it now with the Mrs.

Now heading out for Sushi and Sashimi. Probably have Genmaicha over lunch.

Should get more infusions out of it too.

Yeah, I tend to be a bit obsessive. (Right now I'm obsessively teaching myself to play the ukulele.) So maybe.

Drinking some lovely unidentified shu puer this morning... oops, afternoon. LOL! Here's my kawaii teacup, patiently waiting for a brew. To inspire me, I'm listening to Elvis Costello loud enough so my neighbors are probably looking out the windows, the two cats are sitting here giving me the evil eye, and my dog just started howling.

Waiting for the end of the world... well, or maybe just a cup of tea...

Wow GG - what a beautiful image! :D

Reflecting on my tea journey as a result of today's query...

Using a "wan" from the past today to drink my day-old YM (just felt wrong all day yesterday to drink it - so it sat. Sigh. Must listen to the body!).

Cheers.

Ahhhh old Commodore 64 :D That's a pretty cool piece of computing history. 64kB memory, it's amazing how far we've come.

Opened single bushy winter yulan dancong from jing today.
Wow I can see myself enjoying dancongs very much. Third dancong I have ever had and my my what a good introduction. Now another vast variety of tea on my list to further appreciate in the near future. No timing, measuring, or weighing today.

Brewed longer then what most suggest for a dancong, but that shock of bitterness goes away fast and is replaced with so many other good and wonderful things. I can appreciate the bitterness with this tea very much and kinda feel that trying to eliminate the bitterness all together with very short infusions may take away from the tea (at least to my tastes). Delicious, too bad no longer on their site or I would order more.

Not really, I drank tea nearly every day, from the better tea bags I could find in the grocery store ever since my parents decided I was old enough to handle a tea kettle myself, but I didn´t really know how big and interesting the world of tea is back then :)

I´m sure if I could go back in time and tell myself what´s out there I wouldn´t have dismissed it but started exploring the world of tea in depth a lot sooner xD

Today I´m drinking Punta Del Cielo´s house black tea blend. They´re a great mexican coffee shop and they have decent tea too :)

Wow nice pics Seeker and Geek!
What does kawaii mean, you bought it there?

In my cup this afternoon, a combo of left over gao shans.
Not bad.

No, I know how to spell Kauai. ;)

"Kawaii" is a generic japanese term for "cute." Not the sort of "cute" that is half-way to interesting, but the kind of cute that goes straight to the amygdala and makes you want to squeal like an 8-year-old girl, hold out your hands and go "gimme, gimme!"

Oh sorry, I quick Yahoo search it brought up Kawaii, Hawaii and I didn't click though. My bad. Yeah, I'm familiar with Kauai. Wish I was there now. :)
Cute cup!

I loved tea ever since I can remember, but it wasn't until about 10 years ago that it became a passion (finding out there was more than just tea bags out there). Now I am amazed at how much of my time I spend shopping, tasting and reading about tea. They are my favorite hours of the day!

Had a nice session with some '10 Hongcha from YS today. I love yunnan blacks, feels like silk in the mouth.

Hope everyone's TeaDay is going well!
