I had my newest tea this morning, part of an order of four organic shinchas from Yuuki-Cha. Honoyama Organic Shincha from Yuuki-Cha. It's beautiful stuff.

Full description in the shincha review topic.

My last new tea was about three days ago, when I was sampling the new stuff from my YS order.
It's been a black tea TD today. Started with the '10 Sungma FF Darjeeling
'07 "Pure Bud" Hongcha.
Maybe I'll complete the trio with another one later.

Started the morning with some shincha from yuuki-cha, and then had gyokuro for the first time ever! It was the Den's anniversary tea that they include with an order a month or two ago. Followed the brewing instructions they sent with the tea, and really enjoyed it. First infusion was very rich, I've seen descriptions of "buttery" -- I wouldn't have thought buttery, but I can believe that a gyokuro can go that way. Second infusion more leafy green vegetable flavor, and third was more reminiscent of seaweed. I was surprised at the color, very light and pale compared to the shinchas I've been drinking lately.

I was glad I took some Caramel Delight with me to the salon to make later in the day - I had a nice, empty thermos to put it in once I finished my oolong, and I had tea to keep me energized while looking at houses this afternoon.

last new tea for me was a few months back when I recieved my order from floating leaves tea...had lots of new oolongs to try!
next new tea will be when the sincha OTTI arrives
Today I was drinking a black tea blend (I had some odds and ends which needed mixed to make a full pot of tea) and now I´m moving on to Taiwan Wuyi from FLT

For the first time a few days ago " 2010 Lu An Gua Pian". Absolutely delightful.
Will now have my late morning tea Yunnan Silver Needle and this afternoon "Ding Gu Da Fang" will be next. So it will be green tea day.
