LIke many responders, those around me might give me a 10, I would go lower ... around 8 or 9, and in the eyes of other TCers ... maybe a 6 or 7.
Began the TD with shincha of course with SweeTea while Ceylon and Shincha were observers. Yutaka Midori the classic version from the O-C.

Re: Monday TeaDay 6/21/10 Fanatic Week begins today!
Some would call me fanatical.
I have reorganized my cupboards to make more room for tea & teaware, have a kettle at home and at work, infuse on average 3 different teas a day, but still drink some water and milk and occasionally go an entire day with one or no teas. So....some would call me fanatical.

Yunnan Golden Curls from Adagio this afternoon. Yum. Love my new scale that fits my fingers. My first one didn't.

As many others, those in my life would consider me a 10, I put 6.
Started today with Den's Kunpu. Very good, but not a fair comparison after that YM Supreme. I know its a different type of sencha, but the YM hit the spot.
Tried some silver needles next - Rishi Fuding Grand Cru. Very good - but I think that I don't have the palate for white to compare this well. Held up very well for 5 infusions.

Nice Houhin Victoria!
Had some Yutaka Midori from the O-C (as Chip would say) today.
This stuff is great, nice spinach flavor. I'm still getting the hang of brewing Japanese greens. My brewing of Adagio's Shincha yesterday was a little less than stellar.
However, this turned out much much better!
I'd been away from my beloved Pu'er for too long (bout a week?) because I've been sampling other teas. This was remedied this by having a wonderful session with some 2010 Guan Zi Zai Mengsong shengpu. Mmmmmm, so young & complex. I love the harshness!

If I was born a spacetiger tomorrow, who only had tofu sandwiches, I would search the universe for Earth, just for tea, because I love my tofu with tea.

yea, fanatical...
I drink it everyday and I try to get the best tea I can afford and I can blah blah blah about tea for hours...but I´m still pretty casual about how I brew compared to others with their tea technogadgets measuring everything with the precision of a chemist.

Today I tried to spread the gospel of tea at a morning meeting, with the cute little gongfu tasting cups and everything, but had few takers despite it being the best Dan Cong oolong. My fanaticism did not succeed in fully converting everyone, likely because most were fresh from their morning coffee. So sad, but that meant more lovely infusions for me, me, fanatical me.
In the afternoon, also had few takers for an excellent pot of Menghai golden needles--likely in part because several of my most enthusiastic colleagues were absent this day.
And finally, had to remain a solo fan of some lovely infusions of an organic dragon well. Sad.
