TIM- That is a beautiful teacup! :D

The only book quote I can think of now is from LOTR when Bilbo is giving his goodbye speech. I've always liked this one.
LOTR wrote:I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
Today I finished off my sample of the '10 Gua Feng Zai shengpu from YS. I might have to order a cake of this!

Craving the nutty flavors of Long Jing after reading the "fluffball" thread, gonna go make some now!

Thanks Tim for coloring this TeaDay!!!

Ha, yeah ... that was a great quote, nickE. In the book and in the movie ...

I am big on quotes, but also am a huge misquoter.

Okay, a bit dramatic, but I really was worried. I was up early, so after I checked the last time, I took a nap.
Awwww! Thanks for your concerns artmom, just an absent minded moment due to lack of ShinCHAAA!

Very good TD began with YM from the O-C! Followed by a tasting of 88 Nights from Maeda-en with the Mrs. And last up, a tating of Kunpu from Den's.

Time to get something out of the TeaFridge ... but cannot make up my mind.

Man, these are soooo cool! I rarely crave things but this is one of them....
As far as I know using something that is not meant for tea as a tea cup is exactly in the spirit of wabi-sabi :)

His entire production is infinitely quotable.

"The more I detest men individually the more ardent becomes my love for humanity."
- Fyodor Dostoevsky, The Brothers Karamazov

"...consciousness is the greatest misfortune for man, yet I know man prizes it and would not give it up for any satisfaction. Consciousness, for instance, is infinitely superior to twice two makes four. Once you have mathematical certainty there is nothing left to do or to understand. There will be nothing left but to bottle up your five senses and plunge into contemplation."
- Fyodor Dostoevsky, Notes from the Underground
