And a welcome from me sebpassion - I'm also interessted in your tea-sources.
I choose Japan and
green of course.
For June I am split between Uji Organic Matcha from O-cha and Shincha Oku Yutaka from O-cha as well.
There is more to taste and great teas to come
In my cup is a premium kabusecha from aiya.
ciao
Marco

Nothing like a cup of dirt to make you feel grounded.
Ok, it wasn't
that bad.
Adagio Masters TKY for me this afternoon.
I apparently have the good stuff.

I often use the word "forest" to describe the taste of shupu. Or maybe I just like dirt?
Actually my favorite tea this month was a shupu.

The '09 Menghai "Hong Yun" has captured my heart this month, especially after I figured out how to brew it. Can't get enough of this stuff.
Closer runners up:
- OTTI Shinchas have been a real treat this month
'10 Yunnan Blacks from YS have also been great

I would be interested in the Yunnan's you liked from YS. I am a big Yunnan fan and have tried all the ones at Adagio. I would like to look at trying some from other sources.

Hey Laura, the Yunnan Black that I liked the most from YS was the '10 Jinggu Golden Strand. It can be found here:

Also, I believe Norbu sells the same tea which is worth checking out due to the lower shipping.

Hope this helps!

I wish I had written it down, it was a Taiwanese Black tea that I got at one of my local tea houses.

Maiko Shincha Kinari from the shincha OTTI. I ordered more of it, looking forward to drinking it through the summer.

First up today was a sampling of Den's Houryoku (OTTI). This is a really interesting tea, seemed like a "lighter" fukamushi to me, but still a fukamushi.

Very good.
Next was the Jinggu Golden Strand inspired by Laura's inquiries.

Love it!

Started my teaday with green tea lovers Kagoshima Shincha then went on to a red clover tisane and now drinking some old houjicha I´ve had for a couple of years...
I was thinking of more sencha from the OTTI but yesterday I was tasting a 2nd sencha in the evening and couldn´t get to sleep until 2am xD xD xD
normally caffiene doesn´t have a lot of impact on me but sencha is seriously loaded with something!

My two faves for June were Zencha's Takumi shincha and Jing's Song Zhong dancong.
I have loads more shincha and dancong to taste, so the summer is looking up!

In a surprise victory I gave it to the Rishi Bai Hao hsinchu that was in the OTTI...
I can see where OTTI is going to cause my budget to suffer!!!
