Yep. It's developing nicely too.

... After using one of these Sansai SOs for nothing but fukamushi, it has green crackles.

And here it is with the Kikumaru repair (complete with knarly end). 5th steeping of Sae Midori from O-Cha in in the Sansai Hagi SO

Definitely tea. When the occasion presents itself and I find the perfect piece, I'll pick up teaware, but I have everything that I need, at least for the moment. Tea first, Wares second.

Today: MF Marco Polo earlier, haven't had any tea since lunch - partly because I was running errands then went to work (and forgot to take tea with me to the restaurant) and now it's a bit too late to start up a pot. Ah well, maybe I'll make up for that tomorrow!

I guess I'd have to say tea, not teaware, just because I have so much more of it. Also, I do collect Puerh with the intention of aging it.

Only one tea again today. Pretty busy this weekend. It was Fuka Yame from Den's, and quite delicious I might add.

I voted "I think tea" because although I really enjoy trying different kinds of teas, I am starting to become quite interested in teaware as well. My mother gave me a beautiful white teapot yesterday (my husband said another tea pot! and I told him I want to get one of those cute japanese little ones that Chip fixed lol!) and I bought a basket infuser for it today on eBay. She also gave me some vanilla chai rooibos because she knows I like rooibos tea a lot! Anyway, I started the day with my pu-erh as usual, with honey, a little vanilla and cinnamon added, then had a mint green pu-erh at 10:00 and I have the tea kettle on now so that hubby and I can try my new vanilla chai rooibos before we go in the pool, it is hot hot hot in NYC today! Have a blessed Sunday everyone!

Maybe a little of both? Not sure I have enough of either yet to count as a collector. Although with all those little Adagio sample tins lined up it looks like tea would be the better answer :)

Started the morning as usual with some Yunnan. Getting low and am working on my first order from China (Yunnan Sourcing). Hoping to find this makes a difference as it did with Japanese greens!

Just finished a bowl of Kiri no Mori matcha. Very good!

I ended up drinking a lot of iced tea yesterday afternoon and evening-- standard reastaurant iced tea, yes, but it was hot out, so I didn't care. After I got home, though, I had some shoumei white tea, so I was happy.

Today, I guzzled more iced tea (intense workout + hot weather = me being horribly thirsty 8) ) and am currently drinking some really dark chrysanthemum pu-erh. As in, it's darker than the coffee my mom is drinking. Mmmmmm.

I buy tea to drink, very little tea do I buy to hold onto, so I have to go with I collect teaware, which is by far the best choice as I have been trying to find proper ways to display it lately, picture to come later hopefully.

Speaking of displays, Adam ...

Sometimes a picture says a thousand words. So, you tell me, collector of TEA or TeaWares? BTW, those canisters are empties, kinda collecting them too. Multiply this display times around 10 or so ...

Chip you beat me too it.

But a sure sign that you might be a collector of teaware, is if you take a picture of your collection and it looks like it belongs in a teashop.

WOW great collections - Chip and AdamMY - never let an elephant in your house ;)
Give me five years and I can compete :)

In the morning I enjoyed a nice Shincha Oku Yutaka.
And now I am tea tasting. Have opened my fourth sample of whites and I am comparing. Trying to find the fine differences. I taste some - but it is very new to me.
So far I had: Pai Mu Tan (two different ones), White Pearl, Silver Needle. Jasmine White Needle will follow and then I think its enough for today :)
