I concur with geeber's comment, soooo many teas out there and both of course!
It's a sweet cup, the cell phone doesn't do it justice. Turqouise, purple, celadon - very subtle and pretty!
Mrs. Chip, I've tried Shui Xian and wasn't impressed either. A couple were from the Oolong box pass last year (and may have been
really stale!) and one from TeaSource. Of course, these aren't the high-end sources, but I don't think I'd invest in it myself. It's too roast-y or something for me!

It´s been a good teaday for me!
I started it sharing a sample of Jin Xuan oolong from Floating Leaves Tea with Mom and just now my O-cha ordered arrived with Kyusu, Chawan, Yutaka Midori Supreme and Ooigawa Supreme!
I´m giving the new wares a trial run with the Ooigawa

Annoying headaches. Therefore, a chamomile lavender tisane is in this afternoon's cup. I know, not a "real" tea, but still.

My evening tea today will be the Fuga Super Premium from Zencha...I was itching to open the Yutaka Midori Supreme until I realized my only empty tea tin last had Lapsang Souchong in it!
I have that airing out now...so either when the smokey smell is gone from it or I empty something else I will open the YM.

When I think how tea availability has changed in the last 10 years, I am really excited about the next 10. Certainly both old and new. I am thinking there will be new varietals in 10 years that will be amazing, especially in Japan!
Began the TD with a tasting of Zencha's Moe. Next up some Warashina Supreme from O-Cha. And finishing with some dribs and drabs of sencha that is pretty good!

I'd say I will be meeting new teas but also keeping old ones. Especially old Puerh!
2010 Nada Mansai today, very good. I'm glad I have a cake, gonna try not to touch it again for a year or two...
I am thinking of brewing up some Asamushi soon.

Enjoying a very satisfying teaDay: started with my first Kabusecha (from Yuuki-cha, pleasant but not going to topple the Sayamakaori or Honyama senchas from the top of the japanese greens list); moved straight to puerh with the Wulian Shan loose Mao Cha from norbu, shared widely with a thermos full brought to clinic this afternoon; a series of nice cuppas of Tai Ping Hou Kui from Wing Hop Fung to start the evening, and finishing the day with some Da Wu Ye Dan Cong oolong from Imen. A nice trip through the spectrum, green to puerh. And Dan Cong is always a nice ending to the day.
