For me it's Darjeeling, of course. Fruity, nutty black - oolong? - tea. Yum.

Tomorrow maybe Shi Ru from Dragon Tea House, later on this week some Wu Dong Song Zhong, quality dancgong, and many more. Ah, good tea again!

Is Ceylon an Indian tea? I guess I never paid attention. :)

Me too. Except in Masala Chai.
My hubby really liked Assam for a while and it started to bother him too. I can only guess that it's whatever component of the cultivar that gives it the malty flavor. But I'm not a scientist so I'm probably completely wrong - just guessing!

No the island of Sri Lanka, aka Ceylon, lies off to the southeast of India , but it is Indian region which is the topic.

More sencha earlier and now Masters Pouchong from Adagio.

Yep, that's what I like about them! Ha! In my cup though this afternoon; a mild Baozhong from Floating Leaves Tea.

Assam, particulary 2nd Flush 2010 Hattialli Golden Lion. Other assams to a lesser degree.
Nilgiri is okay.
Darjeeling is a bit too astringent, and 1st flush is a bit too green-like

Second cataract removed today. In another couple of weeks, I should have new spectacles and a much better view of the world. :D

I love the malty flavors of a good Assam. In fact, my tea cup is empty right now, I think I'll have a cup of Assam now.

I'll say "other" because I've never had any Indian tea individually, just in blends. I'd like to try some though!

Rose congou earlier this afternoon, pouchong right now.

Just haven't been able to enjoy any tea I've tried yet from Assam, Nilgiri, Darjeeling......so none. But maybe I will be more enlightened someday.

Voted Darjeeling as i am too new to Indian teas and just haven't had many.
Just got two, a 1st and a 2nd flush from Jungpana estate, really yummy.

Sipping some 1st flush now.
