All thing being equal, I would choose the tea room/garden. I've done a bit of traveling and not that I wouldn't love to do more, but a nice tea room would be forever. Of course, I'd need to by a house first.

On my third attempt, I'm finally "getting" warashina. With this asamushi, you really need to slow down and meet it halfway. Mild in flavor, but certainly strong enough to be stimulating. I bet this would brew nicely in a houhin.

This was a really close call but i voted for the teavacation based on my current plans. If i knew i would be staying in my current house long-term I would probably take the tea garden because my back yard could seriously use a makeover and it would really be nice to have an outside area to sit and drink tea/enjoy days like today with really nice weather. However, because i dont see myself staying her for more than another 2 years or so i would probably choose the vacation.

No tea so far today.

The TeaRoom and its garden for sure. Traveling is nice but you spend more time home.

Wakamatsu no mukashi koicha this evening.

Tea garden for me. Living in NYC garden sounds so wonderful.

I chose the vacation. I'm in college so I want to get away for a while. ;)

My first order from Adagio is in my cup this evening: Cream Tea, with a drop of milk and sugar~

I chose taking the 10K.

It is almost impossible for me to travel now; and we have too much house as it is. I'd use the $10,000 to put in some ramps to access the outdoors and a short lift to access our sunroom so that I could have tea easily somewhere other than my lift recliner!

Doesn't take much to make me happy at my age. :D

No question here, the TeaRoom and its garden. Sounds like a good place to read as well as drink tea, so would not be just for tea ceremony!

But I am also in a house I love and plan to stay there as long as I can, so that makes a difference. In fact DH and me love it so much we are leaving our vaction to come home early (of course its been raining the entire time with no end in sight :()

Holy cow it's HOT, HOT, HOT here!! Record breaking temps for Los Angeles 113°!! Debunix, have you melted???

A much cooler 105° south of LA, here in Orange County. Sipping on some iced Jasmine Oolong. And looking forward to going to work in my nice cool office!

Vacation all the way. With the spending money my personal teaspace would be kept happy too.

Damn good to see you again Space, still drinking tea?

Yeah, that hot weather is heading up here to Oregon! I don't mind 80 degrees, but I'm told it's going to get up to 100 this weekend.

So definitely the vacation! I love to travel, but haven't had the opportunity to do so very much...

Tea vacation, definitely. The tea room/garden would be awesome, but it'd be so cool to actually go see the places, spend a good bit on tea while there, and save the rest to invest in some tea things to be put in a modified tea room when I get home! :D

Yunnan Noir all day today.
