I'm hoping for some heicha for my birthday... I've been dropping hints to my mom whenever she asks me what I want. Pretty sure that's going to be a new fave!
Rose congou this afternoon, currently drinking some longjing.

Great TeaDay ... began with Sencha Premier from Adagio, then Kame Gyokuro from O-Cha with the Mrs., and now Happy Tea from Maiko.

No particular tea shouting "pick me next! pick me next!" right now. But there are always some whispering here and there......
Today, finished off a comparison tasting of 4 of the OTTI #5 young sheng puerhs, and started the day with an unfortunate choice of of oolong for the thermos--one that didn't do well with the holding stage after bulk brewing. Won't do that one again. Then had an unsatisfying infusion of a different oolong, because the water from the 'hot' tap of the water cooler was still not very hot. Frustrating, because I knew the tea could be so much more than that. Fortunately, I had the lovely OTTI teas to return to end the teaday on a good note.

Taiwanese oolongs are where I want to expand my tea drinking horizons. Last year I bought some high mt. oolongs from floating leaves tea but I only got the sampler plus a wuyi and all were so delicious that I want to try more and practice brewing them. Of course I wont give up the yancha search...probably ever
