These days I only brew about 1 tea per day, but in the summer I was averaging 3. Almost always different types.

Re: Wednesday TeaDay 11/3/10 TeaChange?
I have anywhere from one to three different kinds of tea per day. If I'm having pu-erh or Yunnan, I'll often just stick with that all day, though. With greens, I like to sample several different kinds within a short period of time because I have a bigger variety of greens than pu-erhs.
Rose congou this afternoon, rose sencha right now.

I don't think I have ever gone a day just drinking one type of tea. I very rarely brew the same type of tea twice in a row. If I do, it is usually because customers want to try different types of the same tea. On my own though I never brew the same twice.

So, bottom line, I might have 2,3,4 sencha on a given day, but it is never the same sencha. I also try to not have 2 fuka or asa in a row. This really eliminates boredom.
Another sencha, another tasting. This time it was Maruyama from Maiko with the Mrs. Lots of great sencha in OTTI 7 and 8!

Typically yes. I'll do several steeps of one tea, then when that one wears down I switch. Or, more often, I get home and switch because of locale. But I normally don't start a fresh session with the tea I just finished a session of.
Snowbud at work, OTTI 6 #2 at home while fixing dinner. I think it's my favorite so far.

Earlier today I wrote
Must have been the quiz that made me do it!
I did sneak a black tea (Ruby Black Tea from Norbu) in between the Tie Guan Yin and the Tai Ping.....
but then this evening I was having a nice session with Tai Ping Hou Kui, wasn't ready to be done when the leaves ran out of flavor, so started up a new batch right away.debunix wrote:so many good teas, can't stick with just one unless I'm working on a comparative tasting.

Re: Wednesday TeaDay 11/3/10 TeaChange?
Since I'm a tea newbie and have purchased ALOT of different teas, my goal is to try at least 1-2 new teas a day. I might infuse one multiple times or make the same tea twice but do try to fit a new one in there. I'm actually keeping a tea log so that I can try it different temps/times to figure out what I like best. I try not to have a black tea in the evening to affect my sleep.
