There are many Fuji blends each year, I only tried a couple and this can't give an overall picture.
IMHO, Dayi 70th is good, I might get a tong at the end but I'm not in a hurry as there are other better cakes. I think the high end Fujin cakes I had (I haven't posted in here) does taste much better than the Dayi 70th, but if you ask me to compare the 2012 Fujin I posted here with Dayi 70th, I need to try both many times before I could give my opinion. The 2012 Fujin is much younger, more than a couple years in real term when you compare with the Dayi 70th as there are some older material in the Dayi. When a cake is very new, I always find it rather difficult to tell how good it is.
Edited: The above post only referring to Dayi 70th Ann. I misunderstood when shah82 wrote "Dayi 70th / Gold" as "Dayi 70th Ann." cake only. Dayi 70th Ann, also called Golden period ... etc. hence the mixed up.
Regarding to 2011 Dayi Gold, IMHO it is significantly better than Dayi 70th Ann. and dare I say it is on similar level as some mid ranking Fujin. In fact I got more than a tong of 2011 Dayi Gold.
