I realized I never followed up on my last post in this topic. My order problems were resolved, but not without a bit of trouble first. Basically, there were two major errors with my initial order, and I thought that maybe I had gotten taken by the old bait-and-switch, but after contacting the vendor, he eventually made good on getting the right items to me.

I don't know if all of the problems people are having with this site are due to sketchiness on the vendor's part, or just carelessness, but I would steer clear for now, at least until they manage to build up a better reputation.

For now, I wouldn't order from them again.

Trust me. Better do so. That guy ripped me off big time pretending he didn't know the two zi ni pots he sent me were fake when his business is physically located in Yixing, seems to know a lot about Yixing pottery when you deal with him via e-mail. He also sold me a pot that looked different than the one advertised online, hence of a lower quality.

But there are others here at Teachat who have also had bad experiences with this particular vendor. I feel they are shy to come forward and admit they have been ripped off by him as well.

Never again either.

This post has intrigued me and confused me for a long time.

Bagua: If one of the pots you got in the mail wasn't the same one that you ordered, then, just out of curiosity, is the green pot that you got different from what you ordered, and hence the reception of the very same pot that you had earlier posted as a fake?

No the lu ni pot I have was purchased from JTS. I never went back to YTS after my experience.

I have also encountered this website, I asked for information on a teapot, and I have sent some pictures that I asked about everything from the base with its seal, and certificate of authenticity.

This morning they have sent them to me, and they look good (stamps as well as certified), but in reality, maybe it's not everything that looks like and it's a plagiarism or imitation.

The author is: "Wang Hong Juan Zhi"
The truth is the very good treatment but, seeing this post, I get on alert.
I do not know if now in 2017 things have changed management, suppliers, artists ...
and you can give a more reliable note, I think I reserve for the moment.

My advice would be to buy from those two shops:

Their pots are what they are advertised at. They are mostly solid pots for tea drinkers. As a tea drinker you want a well done pot with good clay. Don't even think about "artist" pots - proper artist pots are really expensive, and more for collectors. Forget about cheap pseudo-artist pots with "certificate of authenticity".
For drinkers pots from the factory era are far more suitable.

Just a few pots i have recently seen, and which are good enough:

This one is, i believe - but i am not 100% sure as i haven't seen them in person and don't have any experience with the shop - is an early 90's factory 1 Shui Ping, which would be a solid drinker's pot (but it looks to me more like 60/65 ml, and not 50 ml):

I have actually bought this pot, mostly for the size, making a perfect pot for on the road, and for a quick one:

The workmanship is very good, a really good lid fit, and it's quite alright, especially for a beginner, and won't break your wallet.
