Terrible news.
I've chatted with Ian a bunch of times since joining TC. He was always friendly and had a good sense of humor. I'll really miss him.
My sincere condolences to his wife and family.

Ah, but he enriched our lives.
I do not mind telling you that I cried several times Monday and fought back the tears many times. Each time I think of him, I have to remind myself he is gone and I feel a hard pull on my insides.

His wife still does not know the cause of Ian's death.
I thought you might want to see Ian along with his wife and children ... and some of the story of his special needs daughter Bella who predeceased Ian. He introduced Bella to members several years ago via videos.
This is from his wife's blog.

Well we don't want to speculate, but I trust you'll keep us all informed with whatever you find out/know Chip.
It's always easy to forget how fragile our lives really are. I'm just finishing up nursing school and I find myself reminded of this almost daily.

Wow, just read this. My thoughts go out to his family. I never "spoke" to Ian directly but I sure read many of his posts. He will be missed.
