Ten Ren on Mott perhaps? Aside from the occasional rare Yixing find, Chinatown is surprisingly devoid of high end teaware.

I was unable to find anything. Although I did notice that Ten Ren had some mondo $$$ Yixing pots. They were behind glass. I was unable to get to Fang's. It's an hour by train! The lady at Jade Emporium at least knew what I was talking about but said they just don't carry them no more.

I guess my pot will just have to continue to drown in pu :D

Since you have that and you want to use the money for something else. I suggest you find a nice flat pebble, then placed it in the middle for you teapot.

It might look even nicer if you put the pebble to a side.

Yea I usually do end up "building" a tea boat. I use the dish of a gaiwan turned upside down :D A flat rock would also do... although it might scratch my plate!

Get those 雨花石. With a bit of glue, stack them up, add some artificial grass/plant. you can make something like a small waterfall.

Haha beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Anyway, was at Daiso just now stocking up on miso and sauce. Saw they have a decent looking rectangle plate and a nice little flower sauce dish. Bought them to show with a little imagination, it's not hard to find stuffs that'll work  Oh ya pardon that dirty teapot, I just grab what I had on a shelf.

The 7 train is a bummer, you should take the LIRR from Penn Station.

This might be a better setup but it'll cost $2 more

Nope. I'm a gaiwan & glass/stainless steel teapot person  No fix set I guess, unless I do reviews which is a set of glass set with either porcelain (sheng) gaiwan or stoneware (shu).

I drank mainly puerh. But love to buy those cheap cup tea wares taobao and daiso got to offer

Here's a set of teacup I bought on Taobao recently with an agent. It's still on shipping, can't feedback on the quality. But it should be decent enough to use
