None of us are really sure whether these will be good or not yet. The prices on some of the teas are very low compared to what the price is now which is a bit suspect. As their prices were unbeatable and your recommendation about Berylleb right on the mark I took the plunge and ordered from tuochatea.com this morning. I ordered several Dayi shu cakes that go for much more on other websites, as well as a couple of other cakes and bricks. They are being shipped SAL so I should be able to report back in about a month if they are good and worth the price. Time shall tell. Hopefully they will ship today. I'm eagerly awaiting reviews of this site's stuff. Does anyone know if they've been offering such low prices for a long time? I've been wracking my brains for an explanation and came up with a few:
a)The owner died and the heirs are cashing in for a quick buck.
b)They are such good fakes that most people can't tell/don't care.
c)The vendor has discovered the power of dana, which the Buddha spoke so much about. He is endeavoring to live without desire for financial security in the future. He has seen through egoic needs and identification with wealth.
That's all I've got. I'm sure I've missed many possibilities. I sure hope it's 'c'. Feel free to add to the list while we all wait for reviews.

Yes, they are real.
That shop has been around for at least eight years now. People have been getting factory tea from them a long time. They just never got very much notice because they never sold particularly good tea. They cater to actual tea drinkers, not frenzied speculators.

Mind you, I've never ordered from them. I just know they've been around a long time without people complaining about fakes.

The really good stuff was when they were trying to make something special. The 2003 Jin Dayi is a lot more premium than the 2006 Pu Ti Yuan or JinSeYunXiang. The better later stuff like the '07 An Xiang sheng isn't as much better than a 7532 as say, a 7222, or one of the Dai cakes.

Thank you for explaining all that. I'm very new and need this level of nuance. I haven't had much factory sheng but I'm going to compare some soon with a very nice 'artisanal' one I just found in Penang. Watch this space

The 2007 7262 is $32 but the 2008 is only $24. Was '07 a better year?

Shu does not typically vary very much, from year to year. Generally, the variance mostly comes from the first year it's made, and then subsequent production. Say the difference between the 2005 Dayi Golden Needle White Lotus and the 2008 version.
Prices tend to be silly games. They also tend to be a matter of when the shopkeep got the tea, and how aggressive the shopkeep raises prices. Once you hit five years or so, a year's difference doesn't count. If the 2008 7262 is cheaper, buy then, if you trust that the storage will be the same and that it's not a fake.

The package arrived today. I have not yet tried any of the teas but it was all there and well packed. The shipping was fast by SAL, only about two weeks. It was almost as fast as EMS for half the price. The two Dayi bings I bought both showed the mark under the blacklight. All seems good. I just bought a few cakes - the 2008 7542 seems like a good buy. Took a punt on the "Autumn Aroma", Haiwan Purple Bud and a few other.
The 2005 CNNP is cheap - It is Simao, which I am not familiar with as a puerh, so that might go either way, but most likely is a good daily drinker. It says 7581 style, but does not look like a mix of raw\ripe. Assuming it is completely ripe, 10 years of age must have evened it out abit.
